Simple fish restaurant in a nice location. You can pick your fish from the ice box at 60 euros per kilo. They also offer pork cutlets. The skillet fried fish we had was served with lemon butter. Without a separate salad and tzatziki it was quite unexciting - no taste of herbs despite the restaurant having its own herb garden in the back. Think they should always have a little something on the plate apart from a slice of lemon, but I guess in Greece you get exactly what you order - a 40 euro fish just enough for two if not too hungry. Order with fries and some other little side dishes and you’ll be fine. But nothing out of the ordinary. No “Wow!”.
Unfortunately this sea-side restaurant was infested with oriental hornets who also want your fish and meat. The staff gave people little aluminium dishes with some burning repellant but only if you ask. It scared them off a bit, but then you also sit in a cloud of smoke.
Over all, an okay, simple place. The girl serving was nice but looked a little tired. The owner (?), boss on the floor, was not overly friendly - no smiles there. He seemed tired of the guests complaining about the hornets. Anyhow, too bad fish is SO expensive these days. Better have their pork if you go, and eat salmon at home - tastes better as well (at least when I cook it myself).
Here is what we had - two adults and one child:
Fresh fish, 0.68 kg – grilled/house style (40.80 €) Perigiali salad – traditional Greek-style salad (10.00 €) Baked feta cheese – feta with tomato, peppers, herbs (5.00 €) Bread – 4 portions (2.00 €) Pork chop (came with fries) – grilled (10.00 €) Coca-Cola Light – 2 (4.00 €) Lemonade – 1 (2.00 €)
Complimentary ice cream at the...
Read moreDuring our whole stay we were searching for an insider tip on the whole island and we're pretty sure we found it: though it's not so secretive and there are some tourists, it's still not crowded and pretty quiet because it's on the end of the street. The food was amazing! Super fresh fish, the vegetarian sides were definitely the best we had on this island (eggplant/auberginesalad for goddesses) and the portions are the biggest we've got so far for the money. We shared a 1.6 kg seabass with three sides (Auberginesalad grilled vegetables and a varied form of a Greek salad) and payed 110 Euros. The drinks were on the house. Absolute fair price. There are many options for vegetarians (and I mean without fish of course, maybe some of them are even vegan) that are sides, but so tasty if you have some of them it's definitely a whole meal. AThis is also the part which makes the food taste even sweeter: the service and the people who obviously are taking part in any kind of work in the restaurant are super nice and welcoming. As an open queer couple we felt warmly welcome the first time on this trip. Also it's just a beautiful location with view on the beach and mountains. We're still blown away. Our highest...
Read moreI recently had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. During our first visit, we were completely ignored by the staff when we tried to get a table. On our second attempt, we were told they didn’t accept reservations, even though many tables had “reserved” signs. When we finally managed to have dinner there, the food was generally good. However, we encountered several issues. The octopus, which is advertised as their specialty, was unavailable, and we were only informed of this after we had ordered. Additionally, the menu (nor the staff) did not indicate that French fries were included with the main courses, leading us to order extra and resulting in an excessive amount of food. To make matters worse, while other guests were offered dessert, we were not extended the same courtesy. Do yourself a favor and...
