Tulum Beach Bar Restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

Everything was great except.. two female staff working Monday 11th September im still furious as to what I witnessed one member of staff do. Me and my partner was laid on the sun loungers relaxing as you do, one female staff member was stood directly in front of us and was clearly talking about me and my partner over their earpieces, from what I gathered the girl who was stood in front of us called the other girl over and they’re both stood directly in front of us now, my girlfriend was laid on her front sunbathing again nothing wrong with that, the uglier one (female staff) decided to take her phone out zoom into my girlfriend and take a picture from behind? I watched her the whole time and she even noticed me looking but carried on, then she walked back over to the bar to show the other male workers the picture she had just taken? I then pulled the other girl aside to tell her that I had watched her take the picture and then they all walked off to the bar.. I’m furious we spent roughly €80 at tulum and the whole time we just felt uncomfortable, it’s disgusting and shocking behaviour from staff. Unfortunately I couldn’t find the older guy that took our booking and seated us if I did then I would have told him straight away. But as it stands I’m still disgusted and disappointed by this. We had a very disappointing experience…We entered by knowing that we would be paying the €20 per person fee, but before we could even pay, we were told we couldn’t enter with our water bottles. Strangely, just two days earlier, we had entered with water bottles without any issue.

It seemed like this sudden rule was enforced only because it was a Saturday and the place was likely to be busier. The staff told us, “If an authority comes, I’ll get in trouble because you brought water,” which felt like an excuse (even lie) rather than a real reason.

Even though we responded calmly, the staff unnecessarily escalated the situation and said, “If you like, you can go to another beach.” The whole interaction felt rude and dismissive.

Very poor customer service and inconsistent policies. Definitely not the kind of treatment you’d expect after planning to...

We recently visited this beach with a large group, and it exceeded all our expectations. From the very beginning, we were warmly greeted by the organizer and the attentive staff, whose hospitality made us feel truly welcome. The atmosphere was outstanding — relaxing, joyful, and full of positive energy.

The food was delicious, the drinks were both flavorful and beautifully presented, and every detail reflected a high level of service. A special thank you to the organizer and the entire team for their professionalism and dedication.

One of the highlights of the evening was the scarf dance — vibrant, captivating, and full of energy. It created such a unique and festive mood that we felt completely immersed in the celebration.
