Two Brothers Restaurant Pefkos — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

Dated decor stood out to me immediately here. The table we were sat at felt like one I’d expect to see at a Greek wedding; a round table, with a simple white cloth, and tacky table number in the middle. Also, our waiter began harassing my cousins, at one point he told us that he was in an arranged marriage, and that he wanted a second wife. It took alot of self control for me not to outright cause a scene. I gave him plenty of opportunities to buzz off and focus on his job, but he’d return awkwardly every couple of minutes. Food wise, everything was either below average or mid at most. Incredibly overpriced for the food and setup. They charge €3.50 for a small bottle of coca cola, and €26.70 for sea bream, salad and some rice for reference. Ordered prawns as a starter. Just to be clear, the dish was a cold starter, not a cooked item. On starting to eat the dish, I noticed that some of the prawns were warm. On highlighting this to a waiter, he stated that this was because of the hot weather! As you can imagine, this sent alarm bells ringing in relation to shellfish and the risk of severe food poisoning, if they had been out of refrigeration for too long. Therefore, I decided not to eat any more. At the end of the meal, I noticed that I was still being charged for the starter. When I questioned this, I was told that as I had eaten a couple of the prawns, I was being charged. We noticed that the restaurant was very quiet when we were there in June. Firstly, I'd like to say the food is brilliant. Starters & mains were delicious for every member of our party. Can wholeheartedly recommend the food, it was however the service which fell short of expectation.

The service was a bit all over the place to be truthful, the staff were brimming with confidence but failing to deliver a genuine customer service experience along the way. The restaurant was busy and this probably contributed to that initially, but as it died down you really did start to feel ignored or maybe even forgotten?

With such a gem of a restaurant in such a great location, with great food and atmosphere it was sad to feel the party shift from "we can't wait to eat here again" to "I don't think we will...
