Stamatis — Restaurant in Municipality of Serifos

The fish fridge smelled bad fishy which means they probably never clean or the fish is often not fresh. Then I ordered grilled sardines and they came full of fish scales — all but one of them. I raised the issue with the waiter and kitchen staff, they said that’s how it is. I’m Greek and have had a ton of grilled sardines in my life, these ones were just off and appropriate only for cats I guess. Do not go there. Very bad service.Something is totally wrong with waiter. We did not like the fish that we order for$50 just tried, it was like a gum and can not chew it.It was cold on top of it. I explained to him that we are not going to eat that and want to bring us something else in exchange. They told us that we have to pay does not matter that we are going to eat or not , because they already pay to fisherman. They ruin all our day with their bad business and practice and rudness. The service was very good. Everything else was below par. I don't know what tourists think of this restaurant. Prices are OK on entries but everything else is not only overpriced but a rip off! 16 euros for frozen 'kalamarakia'. The normal price in Greece is 7 to 8 euros. I Cyclades maybe 10 11 12... 16 is a robbery of tourists mainly and these behavior should be stopped. I visit Serifos every! year for 23 years now. Im used to high prices but the quantity of food on some plates with respect to price even if quality is bad was terrible....
