This is not first time we eat here, they always have awesome food! Traditional and original dishes made with very fresh ingredients, and everything is super clean. It’s a family-run business. My wife went for a coffee around 10 o’clock in the morning, and we could already smell the amazing aroma of their cooking. The gentleman there, who I believe is both the cook and the owner, kindly took off his kitchen gloves to prepare her coffee. Afterwards, we went there for lunch, and it was absolutely fantastic. My single huge squid and a sea bass were perfectly cooked and at a very fair price. I'm not sure when I'll next be passing through Frangokastello, but I'll make a beeline for Stavros!

EDIT - Believe the hype. I returned a couple of years later and ordered the same, lavraki (seabass) and kalamari psiti (grilled squid) with the house white wine. The seabass was iconic. A small piece of paradise lays here for all the good people. The sand and waters are so exotic as the seabeds lay in front of the big trees. Do not come here if you don’t respect the natural environment and are quiet enough to enjoy nature. The place is absolutely fabulous. The food is perfect, recipes traditional and well made and you can have a fantastic selection of meat or fish.
