Castella Veranda — Restaurant in Municipality of Sfakia

What an amazing place. This snack bar is the one associated with the beach at this end of the bay. The whole place is incredible. We were staying in Luotro so managed to get a really nice gazebo on the water, but there are bad spots on the beach. The staff will deliver food and drinks to you or you can sit up at the snack bar and get some shade. We had margaritas the first day they were amazing, we had coffee’s and lunch the second day. The food was delicious and fresh. The view from up there down to the crystal clear water is worth the hike up. Can’t wait to go back.

I dont understand some of these other reviews about it being expensive. A coffee was 3.50 EUR which is exactly what I paid at 2 other places...

Easily one of the most spectacular spots in Crete, with breathtaking views and a beautiful sliver of private beach—wasted, unfortunately, on a lazy and overpriced menu. We arrived just before closing one night and was pleased to find service minded smiling faces, fair prices and Greek music in an otherwise blasé village. We returned the next day for a luxurious sunbed and was quickly serviced our orders, still by friendly smiling staff.
