Akrogiali 2 — Restaurant in Municipality of Sithonia

Unfortunately, this was a very unpleasant experience that shows you can be successful in business while completely lacking basic human decency.

We had a family dinner at this restaurant. The place was packed, we spent over €150, and everything seemed fine at first. My 7-year-old son accidentally left his book on the table. The next evening, we came back and politely asked the waiter if they had found a book. The waiter was kind and started walking towards the bar to check.

Then, the (presumed) owner stepped in and, with a commanding and dismissive tone, forbade the waiter from helping us. When I approached him to explain the situation calmly and respectfully, he cut me off and said that the place was full and that "no one has time for this" — which was not true, since there were actually several empty tables at that moment.

His behavior was not just unprofessional but deeply inhumane and humiliating — especially when you're there with your children and being completely respectful.

I won’t even comment on the food, because this kind of attitude overshadows everything else.

My recommendation: Avoid...

Not quite sure why this place has such high rating, my experience was rerrible and food is nothing really special. I am fine with Food coming out at different rates, but 1-2 dishes every 30 minutes is a joke. We had a table of 11 people and from the first order to the last person there was 1.5h gap. By the time the last person was done eating, the rest of the table has been done for a whole hour already. To add to the bad experience, I ordered a seabass and after 1.5h hours wait and 30 minutes after the last dish came out, the fish was still not ready. Asked the waiter who went to check and he said it was coming (see him go and grab a seabass from the fish bar). Asked the owner/manager about it and he said 5 minutes (complete lie as the fish was just taken to the kitchen). Worst part is that he did not apologise for the delay/mistake and asked if I would like to cancel the order or keep waiting. An apology would have been nice. Asked for the bill twice and 15 minutes later still no bill. Its a nice restaurant but they can't handle things when it's busy. For the price and service received, I won't be...

The greatest disappointment was the fact that there was no true order in which the food came to our tables. We ordered appetizers & main course and we had them come at random times, one main dish came with some appetizers, then other 2 dishes came with the rest of the appetizers and at the end after waiting quite some time the last of the dishes arrived. This resulted in an overly crowded table, zero ability to actually taste and enjoy the appetizers and cold main dishes. This happened to all tables, as the restaurant seemed busy. Everything meat related came with a plain and bland rice that was just left in the plate out of how bad it was, if you want, maybe order some fries on the side ( we did that but the fries arrived at the same time with the appetizers instead of the “burger” ). The mussels in wine and garlic were horrible, the sauce was very watery and not good at all, strongly advise not to order. Apart from that, the seafood/fish were indeed fresh and cooked decently.
