I just put a star so I can write on my review, but if I could I would rate this place below 0.
Me and my husband we came all the way from London to halkidiki for our first holiday in Greece. We've been to different restaurant's and from all of them we had lovely experiences, delicious food and cordial, nice staff . A Greek friend of my husband recommended us to come to Aristos fish restaurant,so tonight we devide to go. So as we walked in to the restaurant and it was 21.30 we told to the owner that this place was recommended to us and we received a cold welcoming. Anyway after they give as the menu, one of the waiters came after not even 5 min to take our order without us askin that to seem like his in a rush and feed up.
We asked some informations and the way we received the answers was so arrogant and rude. We received our food and the waiters we're so miserable and no smile in they're face.
The most horrible thing happened when we asked to have the menu to order something else as we mentioned that in the beginning, one of the waiters told to his colleague to talk to as in English while his giving as the menu and then when we asked to order they said to us that the kitchen it's closed and the chef is gone, while behind us they we're people still ordering. The manager came he confirmed that the kitchen close at 23 after he asked us what time was it while it was still 22.15 and no one mention that to us when we walked in first. I must say this was my worst horrible experience in my entire life, the staff made us fill that we came there to eat for free, the owner gave as a cold welcoming and the manager was rude and lier. And just to say the food wasn't that special I had better food somewhere else.
Again very bad experience and horrible place to go and I can't believe people rate with...
Read moreThe food is ok, nothing outstanding compare to other Greek restaurants that are not targeted for tourists. Keep an eye for the menu selection. The majority of dishes (especially fish based) aren't set with the price. That has instantly raised a red flag, but we knew the prices in restaurants and weren't expecting suprises. We have chosen a fresh fish that was laying on the table full of different fish. It was weighted around 1kg. We asked for the price, no answer to that and only suggestion to have our sits. We had lunched then asked for the bill that took really long time to wait for. In the end we got a hand-written bill with the fish price of almost 70 euros. Other guests were getting additional printed receipt, another red flag with that. Personally I don't find it as a reasonable fair price. I've been in many restaurants before. That fish dish would cost maximum 25 euros. This kind of attitude to your customer is completely unacceptable imo. Recommendation for upcoming tourists either go to the neighbor Barbagiannis restaurant, or be super cautious and ask for detailed price before ordering anything in that restaurant and ask to repeat your order to avoid miss communication (this is usually has to be initiated by the waiter imo). 4 stars for the food - 2 stars for the service and trick with the price = 2 stars in total. Happy holidays!
Read moreWe were quite disappointed with this restaurant. After trying to contact the restaurant all day to make a dinner reservation, we decided to go there at 9pm. There were no dinner reservations for the next 5 days. So the next day we made a lunch reservation for 4pm. Despite the late lunch hour, the restaurant was full. This is because tourists can dock their boats in front of the restaurant and it is very popular for this type of tourists. Some of the tables are in the sea and it gives a great atmosphere. Unfortunately, even at this late hour, the restaurant was quite noisy and we had to shout at each other because we were 9 people. The Greek salad was the worst we have ever had, and we were 3 families and no one liked it. It was too sour and the onion was overwhelming. We didn't like the Tzatziki salad either. Of the fish we ordered, only the fried gavros was tasty, but for the price of 11€ the portion was small. Overall, the prices were a bit high, and the food was nothing special. But the compliment from the restaurant - the dessert was incredible. A large plate of delicious watermelon and 1 piece of baklava/per person with vanilla ice cream. The service was also not good. They forgot our order twice. I would neither recommend it nor repeat my visit. We ate much tastier food...
