In response to your response. You served 6 slices of toast, 4 were golden colour and 2 were black or burnt as is the usual description. We had those changed. My wife's pasta was changed to Linguini. I'm not sure why you feel the need to add exclamation marks there. If you change the pasta for a customer you should inform them up front. Thirdly, we cook homemade pasta sauce ourselves regularly and find it a bit condescending on your part to suggest we had it for the first time in your restaurant. Your pasta sauce was tasteless and seasoning free. We'd be happy to send you a recipe
Original review:
Fantastic view and ambience high above the town with a great area view. Unfortunately that's where the good news ends. First was the burnt toasts neatly hidden under the unburnt. If you are going to charge for something that was not requested then get it right. We ordered roast aubergine starter and a pasta with sausage dish and a pasta with shrimp dish. The starter arrived at the same time as the sausage dish which is never welcome. After about 10 more minutes we inquired about my wife's dish and was made to feel that all was under control and I shouldn't be asking. Shortly after and having finished mine, which was rather bland, my wife's dish arrived with the wrong pasta. The tomato sauce was clearly straight from the can and virtually tasteless. So apart from the great view we had a very poor night out...
Read moreThe first thing you will notice about this place is the beautiful view overlooking the sea. There is not a lot of seating making it a bit more personal of an experience, however the arrangement was not the best as the sun was quite strong and it was beating down on us. The food we ordered was quite good however there are some remarks. We ordered the main to come at the same time and they were not able to accommodate that. I ordered the grilled sardines which were nice and flavourful but they were quite stingy with the portion size however. It came with potatoes which were not very well seasoned and the mustard sauce was ok but I would have preferred it without. My girlfriend ordered the tsipoura which was nicely grilled, but came with the same potatoes and sauce showing that there is not a lot of imagination in the kitchen. The best thing was the salad with ice cream tzatziki, this was amazing and so feast and flavourful. It seems like this place is trying to be a restaurant even though it is a taverna. Overall a nice experience but NOT an authentic...
Read moreStrange place. From one hand, the staff is nice, but while they seated me alone, the owner almost shouted at the older couple that they can’t serve them because there are too many people (it was literally 30% busy), and told them to leave. That was really rude. Also, it’s family owned, so while I was sitting waiting for my meals, mother and her son used to shout at each other like crazy just behind my back. That was so uncomfortable, like I was in the middle of their fight. The food was fine, nothing special, just ok. The view is incredible though. But be ready to apply all your parking skills, cause you can leave your car right...
