Fish Tavern O Haris — Restaurant in Municipality of Sithonia

On 07.09.2025 me and my girlfriend went to have dinner there, because of the good reviews, so at 22:00 we order portion of fried fresh calamari (squids), Greek salad and boiled clams - everything came in 2-3 minutes which was kind of strange, but lets say it was okay. So ill be completely clear:

the squid was fried at old oil or something was completely wrong with them, that was the first night that we had few bites and left the dish.

-the boiled clams have been completely cold, with no taste, but lets say that we have different taste, so we left this dish as well.

-the Greek salad had some ingredients that are not from the traditional Greek salad such as - lettuce, fish and some random seasoning, not the traditional one, but we eat it, it wasn't bad as the other things.

we call the waiter and told him that we cannot agree that is a fresh food and we don't wanna have it, but after he spoke with the owner, he start to shout on us with some Greek words and said that we have to pay for everything, does not matter that we liked it or not. The prices also was high, for the small portion that they provided and the food was the worst one that we tried on our holiday.

At the end i refuse to pay for the squids and left few euro tip for the good service, however the owner start to shout on us again.

So i definitely wont come again and don't recommend that place to have good food or any...

A SCAM place and I'll explain why. First of all, I ordered sea bass and got another fish, 10eur per kg more expensive, second, we ordered a portion for 2 people of that fish and got an enormous fish-1200gr, when I asked why is it so big, they told me I was too skinny :( and the man's fish was 420gr-one portion, very logical!!! We've ordered other sea food too, so yeah, my bad... Some quite cheap and an ok wine, and 2 greak salad for 6 people amongst which one man and 5 woman paid a bill we never paid elsewhere in town and had an average food -30eur per person. When I asked for an explanation, I got blamed for not asking the weight of the fish when I made the order, and hardly got an apology for being served a wrong type of fish. I guess they decided to serve us that particular fish no matter what we order, but if they'd tell us upfront we wouldn't have ordered other food. Attached the bill...

Average experience. We ate a sea bass that was quite good and some fried zucchini. The down side was that the fish is charged by weight (60 euros per kilo). They charged us as if the fish was 750 grams (it was not the case). Also, at the beginning the waiter brings you water and some baked bread. You tend to think this is on the house (especially since you did not order it and considering in many other places in Greece this is a common practice - the establishment gives you water/garlic bread/something on the house). At the end, this was charged on the bill (2 euros for the water and 2 euros for the bread). They did however give us some mini ice creams at the end so this was nice of them but we were already dissapointed that they charged us for something we didn't order.
