Burger&Grill — Restaurant in Municipality of Southern Corfu

I went on vacation with my girlfriend to Kavos in 2024. While walking around, we noticed a restaurant offering a special deal on carbonara. My girlfriend suggested we stop for a meal there, so we sat down and were greeted warmly by the waitress.

After ordering our food, we had to wait a while for it to arrive. At first, it wasn’t a big issue since we weren’t very hungry. However, by the time the food finally came, we were starving—and unfortunately, the experience went downhill from there.

I had ordered a pita gyros, and to be honest, that’s the only reason my review isn’t one star. The carbonara arrived looking worse than the photo in the attachment. It was overly oily, topped with some shredded cheese, and featured a single piece of ham skewered on it. My problem isn’t just that the food didn’t taste good (everyone has off days). My issue is that the chef who prepared the dish considered it acceptable to serve. Even the waitress, who should have noticed its poor quality, didn’t mention anything or intervene.

This was the first time I’ve ever sent a dish back at a restaurant. To their credit, they responded politely and added more cheese and a few extra slices of ham. Still, the initial presentation and taste left a bad impression that we still talk to this date.

I left this review not out of spite, but to bring attention to the service, in the hope that others won’t experience the same. If someone from the restaurant staff replies and addresses these issues, I’ll consider removing my review.

Absolutely miserable experience. Came by this place randomly for lunch. Ordered gyros and burger + drinks. I don't know if the staff have tried their menu themselves, yet the food was ugly as hell. Chicken was not properly cooked and HOPEFULLY it was relatively fresh, salads inedible. Burger patty was overcooked, meat ranking absolutely the lowest, bunds were not even intented for burgers. For all of this almost 30€ wasted. I usually never write my unfortunate food experiences, but hopefully this restaurant will take this into account and put some more effort to increase client...

Service with a genuine smile and an honest appreciation for business. ordered the mushrooms with cream and garlic, and was Offered the pork shank as a ‘special’.

The mushrooms were amazing, creamy and very thick.

The pork shank was fantastic. It came with amazing tender and tasty potatoes, and the pickled side salad really added an extra aspect with the pork flavour.
