I'm not one to leave reviews. But I've come out of my way to write this one.
Where do I start?
The Beach Resort Hotel in Kavos is just not as advertised, point blank. There is the main hotel, which does genuinely look nice... but then annexes, which most guests are placed, and they can be upto 20 mins walk away from the main pool area/ check in office. Advertised as self catering, the rooms are barely sufficient for this, we had a fridge and nothing else, not a spoon or fork or anything. You couldn't swing a cat in there either, literally just a bedroom. The pictures of the self catering apartments make out that there is a small kitchen facility, in an apartment style room, this was a massive issue of mine. Website does not state what is entailed if you get allocated the annex. Love holidays needs to review this.
Also, I chose this hotel for location, however we were placed in an annex next to Quayside, one of the loudest hotels in Kavos, barely slept in the day or night for the music and noise, I wouldn't have booked knowing this. The room, despite being falsely advertised and not really adequete was clean, to an extent. Cleaning ladies changed our beds daily and were lovely. However the toilet was basically in the room and our room/bed area smelled of sewer for the entire stay.
The noise in the annex was also ridiculous, people coming home at all hours and being so disrespectful to those in bed. I wouldn't mind, but when hotel staff were informed, they didn't care, didnt do anything, just let people go around doing what they want. This includes risks to female safety, a group of boys were trying to gain access to a group of girls room around 4am, when staff informed of this safety risk and of my concerns, again, they didnt care. This lack of caring about guests also includes drug use on the premises. (Drug use was also witnessed around the pool area, staff did nothing). Again I want to preface, I am really not a complainer but I had massive concerns about behaviour and lack of control from hotel staff. At times I felt unsafe.
The pool. The pool was absolutely disgusting, cleaned once the entire time we were there, despite having numerous parties. Empty drug cannisters left in the pool, broken plastic etc.. Speaking of parties, when these are taking place at the pool area, guests do not have access to thier own hotel without paying extra. So this meant 3 evenings out of 7, we did not have access to our own hotel facilities. This includes access to the beach, when there is a party, there is no access and security are very rude even if you state youre a guest of the hotel. What a joke. The pool area was also unsafe, the ladder hanging off the wall and unable to climb out, this was not fixed during our stay, still broken when we left. Sunbeds on the beach, despite being our own hotel, were also charged extra, this was not stated anywhere online or signposted that it was extra. Just felt like everything had a catch.
While I realise it is in Kavos and it is a budget booking, I expected alot more. Especially when it comes to booking self catering. It is abhorrent that pictures of the room are posted with a kitchen area, yet you are allocated a bedroom with a fridge. It really isn't sufficient and we had to eat out for more or less every meal due to this, which cost so much more money. We did end up buying cutlery and plates for the room in desperation, but these should be provided honestly. Again, this needs to be audited what is provided for guests.
All in all I have never booked a self catering holiday with so little facilities to accommodate. Very disappointing. Wouldn't recommend the booking, even for the money. Save yourself and book somewhere more expensive that's...

Upon arrival to Island Beach Resort, we were driven 3 minutes down the road to an unadvertised annex called "Afrodite". Security showed us to a room which was away from the "Afrodite" complex and across the road. The main building of Island Beach Resort is located away from the clubs and is substantially quieter in comparison. Security checked to see if there was a water supply (which there was not) phoned someone and left us without saying a word. We did not have water until the next morning, where we only had water for 1 and a half hours. Whilst I appreciate that some services depend on local climatic conditions and the season, at no time is it implied that this would implicate on flushing a toilet or being able to wash. There had been no water for 2 days so we have been unable to flush toilets, wash hands or shower. This is completely unacceptable. Having complained 3 times we were told that we were "unlucky" and moved to another annex. The new annex was a part of the "Fiji" complex. Our booking stated that we have a Self-catering Room and therefore expect to be moved to a room that also accommodates to this; however the room in Fiji has a fridge, a kettle and some cutlery. To my understanding a "Self catering" room should also include a sink and necessary cooking facilities. When unpacking we stumbled upon toe nails in the dresser draw and false eyelash extensions all over the room. Within this room there is no holder for the shower, and no drain covering the drainage system. Our only window was screwed shut. For the air condition to work it is necessary to use toilet paper to hold open the vents. We never once got clean bedding or towels in our one week stay. We had to purchase our own from the strip. The swimming pool was murky and turned our bikinis and swim suits yellow and green. We was told to book everything through the Reps. the reps informed other people that if they booked 2 or more trips they could use the cabanas - we did not get this option even though we booked 3. There was ants crawling around everywhere (including bedrooms) and in the bar. The hotel Reps were nice enough but got a very strong feeling that our presence was almost unwanted some of the time. When we arrived we were told we was having a “meeting” at 11 so the reps could sell us activities and warn us to stay away from certain people but they did not arrive until 3. The music was BLARING all day out of two speakers - me and my friend had to shout to each other - and it...

I've just stayed here with with my partner and we are both LEAVING 6 DAYS EARLY DUE TO HEALTH PROBLEMS!!
We originally stayed in the Annex, number 10, we had a damp patch appear from the upstairs toilet down patch by day 3! It had clearly been painted over to hide it at the start.
On complaining as we both had sore throats we where moved to Barbados on the other side. This seemed much better.. or so we thought, 2 days later we where both so ill we had to visit KAVOS EMERGENCIES!
MY partner has a upper respiratory tract infection and I had a full blown chest infection with reduced OXYGEN SATURATION!.
Checking the aircon filters explained it all. SEE THE PICS ATTACHED. the clean one I cleaned for comparrison
ON making our 2nd complaint the owner did not seemed to care and walked away as we where mid sentace.
He did however offer us his "best room" this time in Bora, this apartment was an upgraded and did appear better but in checking the aircon there it was just as bad If not worse!
Going back to say no thank you too the room upgrade the manager/owner would not even come and speak to us.
he did however get the receptionist Kira (who was lovely) to give us TWO DAYS AIRCON REFUND!! we had paid 80€ for this dirty aircon for our 2 week stay!
Waiting for our change of flights home as we where too I'll to stay any longer, some friends we had met, had the wooden pool side collapse on her, causing her to badly injure her leg! There are NO STEPS into the pool so your FORCED TO WALK ON ROTTING WOOD!
we also had to ask reception for a cleaner to come to our room as our sheets and towel had not been changed for 4 days from changing apartments.
We did not get this, instead where given sheets to change ourselves, well this showed the BLOOD STAINED MATTRESS, SEE PICS ATTACHED
WHILST STILL waiting for our flight, we meet the guys who stayed in apartment 6 annex, the room above where we had stayed in the Annex. THEY ARE CURRENTLY AT THE DOCTORS ON DRIPS AND OXYGEN!!!.
