Edit : I should mention we were there early so no excuses of being busy... there was maybe 4 tables ordering food.... Was just lame service from the special hostess everyone talks about in their positive reviews..
OK so... I don't get it. So many good reviews made us think. Finally something good about this town food wise...
The music was nice. Apparently the Dutch waiter had the playlist that night...
But yeah. Everything seemed to be working against us. I mean I was giving out positive vibes but I guess the main waitress lady knows where the tip money is maybe?... Well that's how it felt anyway... When a table set down next to us full of young brits I kinda saw where the good reviews come from. She comes Straight out to the group next to us. Offering bread and dips to keep them going while they wait and this, that and the other... Meanwhile we finally get our mains, a burnt inedible swordfish from the grill. And the fried calamari. A staple dish for the area... But It comes out alone in a tiny plate and super dry like it was sitting for ten minutes while they were busy burning the swordfish. So when I eventually got her to look at me for a drink order from our neighboring tables cavalcade of service performance... She says "oh" That I am supposed to have a dip with that....I'm quietly impressed.... you mean a main meal of decent cost will come with something extra as a main meal?... other than alone as a small plate of fried battered calamari rings... Since no salad or anything... I felt like maybe they thought I ordered a starter plate or from the kids menu... Anyway... So I wait about 15 minutes in limbo while she forgets about me again... Then ask her again for the mentioned dip she finally brings the sauce. Which was just mayonnaise. Poor excuse for a remiulade tartar garlic aioli whatever the dip attempt was scenario ... I dunno where these good reports come from.
But no. Had to wait until the next day to done a...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Falconera Seafood restaurant and I must say, the experience was absolutely mind-blowing. The food served here is beyond exceptional, leaving a lasting impression that will have you coming back for more.
During my visits, I had the opportunity to indulge in a variety of dishes that showcased the restaurant's expertise with seafood. From the delectable Greek salad and fried calamari to the tantalizing tsatsiki, every bite was a burst of flavor that delighted my taste buds. On my second visit, I savored the delightful calamari, octopus vinegarette, and succulent seabass, all of which were prepared to perfection. The consistency in delivering such divine dishes on both occasions truly speaks volumes about the quality of the culinary offerings at Falconera.
One of the standout aspects of my dining experience was the impeccable service provided by the owner, Ellie. Her attention to detail, warm hospitality, and genuine care for the guests created a welcoming and memorable dining atmosphere. The restaurant's location, perched above the beach, added a touch of romance to the evening, making it a perfect setting for a special meal.

Read moreWe had such a wonderful experience here this evening. I am a single Dad travelling with my 10 year old son, and they couldn't have been sweeter to him, but they also left us alone when we needed to enjoy the amazing food. My son had the Pastitsada, which was incredibly rich and flavourful beef, with papardelle and fresh parmesan. He devoured it but luckily I got a forkful.
I had a whole sea bass, which comes with cous cous and salad, but I asked to change to chips to share with my son and they had no problem with that.
We also had fried squid, which was fresh and delicious, tentacles and body, with a fresh tzatziki on the side.
I also had a glass of white wine which was crisp and dry, complimenting the fish.
The views are lovely, the atmosphere was relaxed and the tables are well spaced out so you never feel cramped in like some of the restaurants around here.
They even brought a few pudding and I have to say it was the highlight of the meal. Just incredible.
Definitely try this place if...
