Tarsanas Greek Cuisine — Restaurant in Municipality of Symi

Tarsanas Greek Cuisine is a beautiful small family-run restaurant in a peaceful and tranquil part of Symi Harbour. Marina, the chef, cooks delicious homestyle Symian and Greek classics as well as all the usual tourist fare. If you pop by for a coffee they add a traditional local Symian biscuit to enjoy with it while soaking up those divine views of the water. If you come for a drink in the evening they add provide complimentary meze to snack on. The food is delicious! Tarsanas is also excellent value. It is much more peaceful over this side than the busy end of the main harbour. Come here to chill out! I think this was also the only cafe I found in Symi that served drinks with paper (not plastic!) straws. After asking for a table and where the restroom was, the 2 staff members said "not for you, and waved their hand to move me out the door", this was incredibly rude as I actually commented how nice the food looked. Would not recommend or be spending my money here...plenty of other FRIENDLY welcoming staff at other cafes and resturants.

My response...I asked to be seated and said I would buy something before I went to the toilet, we had 5 people waiting outside...which you can also witness from your customers, all wanting food and drink, however after the rude way of speaking we did not want to spend time in your cafe.

🍅🧀 Cretan Dakos salad: Excellent! Best salad we've eaten in Greece. 🌟 🦑 Fried Calamari: Nothing remarkable. It was not bad but the frying was kind of poor. Too many fries and too little calamari. 🐟Swordfish: In the oven with tomato and some vegetables/potatoes. Normal, it delivered, nothing remarkable.
