If you're a vegan or a vegetarian you better find another place! We don't eat meat and specifically ordered vegetarian/vegan food, but the garlic bread was obviously toasted on the same grill they use for meat so it smelt and tasted like burnt animal fat which is not pleasant at all. We couldn't eat them eventually! We found a fly in a glass already full of wine, we told the waiter and he just took the glass back inside but then forgot to replace it. When we asked for another glass, he brought an empty one, so technically we paid the price of 500ml wine for 400ml. They forgot one of our dishes but it appeared in the bill, when we asked about it they were nice enough to cancel it from the the bill. So no problem there, but you might want to be careful not to pay extra for something you didn't have. Some dishes were too salty but with lemon it was okay. The environment was nice tho, nice music and the waiter was also nice and polite but forgetful! 🙃 There are plenty of vegetarian options but not many vegan options! If you're a vegan just ask them to serve your food without Tzatziki or cheese because everything has tzatziki or cheese even if not mentioned...
Read moreClient of the place for more than 10 years. My dog barked twice in two ocasssions when other dogs passed by the street. The manager came out of the kitchen and spoke loudly and impolitely in front of all people that were at the moment in the terrace. He stated that this could not continue. I apologised and immediately took my dog back home and returned to place. 30 mins later on the same style the same person asked us to move to another table. We were a group of 12 persons but 6 had already left a bit earlier. It's alright to explain that a dog's bark may annoy him or others, and it's alright to ask us to move to another table, but in a respectful and polite way. In regards to the food, the dissappointment from the continuous reduction of quality and increased commercial approach is huge. Nowadays, the food has nothing to do with what it was, neither the style,...
Read moreWow! A piece of my hearth belongs to this place. I went to Thessaloniki last December (2023) with my danish friends on the way to Costantinopoli. We were climbing up the hill to the castle and we immediately recognise this place as something. On the way back (very hungry) we decided to eat here and we couldn’t have a better idea. The atmosphere is great. They were playing vinyls on one side of the restaurant (also very similar to an Italian osteria) and the food we ate was superb. As well as the waiter, the owner (maybe?) and the cook. All great and lovely people! You can also sit outside and if it is winter you will see a λωτούς tree (persimmons) in front of the restaurant. A girl there reminded me that Ὀδυσσεύς (Ulysses) stepped on these trees on his journey and when their friends ate the fruits they forgot their...
