I booked a table to celebrate my birthday. The place is beautiful with a wonderful view of Oia. It seemed like the sunset could be seen from any table. We went in early October, and it turned out that booking wasn’t necessary—the restaurant was half-empty. Unfortunately, this is where the pleasant experience ends.
The service left much to be desired: the waitstaff were neither attentive nor particularly friendly. We were with our small child and were often distracted by her, which led to us accidentally forgetting to order a main course. While this was our oversight, I found it odd that the waiter didn’t double-check if we wanted to order anything else and simply took the menus away. The appetizers we ordered looked nice, but they didn’t impress us taste-wise. Overall, it seemed like the staff didn’t particularly care about how our evening was going, which was clear from their attitude. Despite mentioning that it was my birthday, I didn’t even get a simple acknowledgment, which usually adds a more personal touch to the experience.
The evening menu did not have a kids’ menu, although reviews show it’s available during lunch. The waiter couldn’t offer us anything suitable for our child. When we asked if we could order a half portion, the answer was no. Could we substitute one side dish for another? Also no, only available as an extra order. In the end, I left with no desire to return or recommend this place. There are plenty of restaurants on Santorini with great sunset views, and I wouldn’t waste time...

Dining at Afropsaro was an unforgettable highlight of my Santorini trip. The seafood was exquisitely fresh and masterfully prepared—every dish was a celebration of Aegean flavors. I also had the pleasure of enjoying a bottle of Babydoll Sauvignon Blanc, a crisp and vibrant white wine that paired beautifully with the meal and added a refreshing touch to the evening.
The setting is simply extraordinary. Afropsaro offers sweeping views of the caldera and the iconic Santorini sunset—an absolutely magical backdrop for dinner.
The staff were warm, knowledgeable, and attentive throughout. From the cuisine to the atmosphere and service, everything was top-tier. This is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking refined flavors and unforgettable scenery...
Read moreThe most positive thing is the view, absolutely astonishing (if you come in the hours of lightness), and the sunset is beautiful. But then good things stop: food was good but quality/price wise not particularly great. Ambience was cool with a DJ, good weather and the view of course. The service was the worst. Firstly, it was extremely slow. We were sitting at least 20-25mins with empty glasses and done meal. They had a large variety of Greek wines which I don’t know anything about and the waiter didn’t know what “oak’y” meant so I asked for the sommelier, and they waiter replied “Do you want the sommelier for just one glass?”… what an attitude, when you have no clue how to explain the...
