TAMYS - Snack bar Red beach — Restaurant in Municipality of Thira

A charming beach styled restaurant at a superb place. They have plenty of parking and are located very close to red beach which is easy to find. They also have an extra sitting just by the sea. Food was good. We tried spinach and feta cheese pie. Both of them were tasty. We also tried their chicken gyros in pita bread and lamb-biff kebab in pitta breads. Their gyros were outstanding. Pitta bread had a crispy texture and was chewy. Their food is cheap, compared to most other restaurants on the island. Gyros/kebab in pitta bread costs only 4 euros, amazing. Most authentic chicken gyros in Akrotiri, at a fraction of the price elsewhere. Other locations seem to alter this local "fast food" snack option to suit tourist tastes (and wallets.) Really lovely staff, perfect after a visit to Red Beach or the archeological site. We sat at a diner table by the sea, in the sun. Very fresh, quick, no dodgy tummy the next day. 👌

Excellent. We stopped here quickly to grab some food right before heading over to red beach.

Prices were very good and the food quality was great. They have some chairs and deck chairs close to the water. We actually decided to get in the water here because it was crystal clear and clean!

Definitely try their greek yogurt with honey...
