We recently had an experience at Taverna Glaros that truly touched our heart, and we would like to share our immense gratitude and admiration for this wonderful place.
During a time when nothing else was open around, my wife and I found ourselves in need of drinking water. We approached Taverna Glaros, and despite being it being closed and us being complete strangers, the lady and gentleman who were there welcomed us with warm smiles and their exceptional hospitality. Not only did they provide us with the much-needed drinking water, but they also refused to charge us for it. This act of kindness and generosity was incredibly moving and exemplifies the friendly and caring nature of the people at Taverna Glaros and in Santorini. In a moment of need, their willingness to help two strangers was a reminder of the goodness in humanity.
We wish Taverna Glaros all the very best and continued success. Their hospitality and friendliness left a lasting impression on us, and we are so thankful for the help they provided. It's not often that you come across such genuine kindness, and for that, we are eternally grateful.
If you ever find yourself in the area, I highly recommend visiting Taverna Glaros. Their outstanding service and warm-hearted approach makes them a standout establishment. Thank you once again to the amazing people at Taverna Glaros – you have our heartfelt appreciation and...
Read morePortion is not small at all. To those who said the waiter/waitress was rude, just a reminder that not everyone grew up in the same culture as yours. Greeks don’t have to put a smile on their face for you all the time. With that being said, they are sincere. The owner of the restaurant is a tough looking guy but he truly tries his best to run the restaurant. The tomato used in the fried tomato was grown by the owner in his backyard. The stuffed squid was done better than the other restaurant we went nearby the other day. Nevertheless, it could have been more tender. The feta cheese inside was too salty for me. We are from a region where we don’t put much salt in our food. However, I noticed it is a totally different story here. Food in Athens is already on the salty side for us, but here it is on another “high” level. It seemed we broke the owner’s heart when we told him we could not handle how salty the food was. He was sad cuz his mom was the cook and he thought her cooking was the best. He volunteered to redo the pasta but we were already full because we had a lot of bread at that time so we told him not to worry about it. He eventually took that pasta off the bill and gave us two free desserts. If you’re used to low sodium diet, maybe you could ask the owner to reduce the salt by 50% off what...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful Greek restaurant, and I must say, the entire experience exceeded my expectations in every way.
From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the charming, nautical-inspired ambiance. The dining tables feature delightful marine creature, adding a whimsical touch that perfectly complements the stunning seaside views. The atmosphere was cozy and not overcrowded, making for a comfortable and relaxed dining experience.
But the real star of the show was, of course, the food. We ordered the shrimp spaghetti, which was perfectly cooked. The portion size was generous, making it an excellent value.
We also opted for the classic Greek dish of moussaka. This hearty, layered casserole was an absolute delight, with a rich, savory sauce and tender eggplant that melted in our mouths. The flavors were truly authentic and expertly executed.
Given the superb quality of the cuisine, the stunning seaside setting, and the overall impeccable service, we felt that the bill was...
