La bottega — Restaurant in Paros Municipality

La Botegga is easily the most aesthetic place I've eaten whilst in Greece unfortunately the outside seating is next to a busy and loud road.

Food wise the Lasagna was not quite to my taste however the Carbonara was fantastic with only the saltiness detracting from the experience. The antipasto platter was ordered on the table next to me and looked fantastic.

We asked for the 500ml of wine as shown on the menu for 0.50 euros however was told they only serve the 1l. Which turned out to be 1.5l anyway for 3.70 euros.

The red house wine for 7 euros was good however was served too warm and what I would deem as maybe on the expensive end. Unfortunately there is no wine list so unless you asked you would have no idea what type or region the wine is (unless you are particularly skilled at identifying wine).

Overall the experience was quite nice, in particular the service and the general vibe of the establishment.

It really is a place that could easily be 5 stars if they tightened up a few things. The food is definitely there...

Pretty underwhelmed by this place, considering the glowing reviews. I had the carbonara which was OK but nothing special. I've had plenty of carbonaras and this wouldn't make my top 20.

But really, the main disappointment was paying 19€ for an average plate of pasta and a beer - the beer was 5€ which I wasn't aware of as there was no drinks price list - I wonder why? I was originally going to have a glass of red, but when I asked the price it was 7€!Poor value, considering also you are sitting right on the main road with traffic racing past - not all that conducive to dining atmosphere.

They really need to have a good look at their prices for...

Truffle ravioli with meat sauce had a nice flavor. Small portion for its price though.
