Tucked into the cliffside of the idyllic Assos village, Savoro is not just a restaurant — it’s a transcendent experience that redefines what dining means on a Greek island and a transcendent culinary sanctuary that seduces every sense. Nothing is rushed and you can feel that this isn’t just hospitality, everything is personal.
A Feast of Emotion and Artistry:
We began our journey with fresh oysters, each served on chilled pebbles, evoking the very sea they came from, dressed with cucumber, shallot, chili, and lime — a bright, briny explosion of freshness. Alongside came warm, crusty house-baked bread, paired with a thoughtful selection of spreads: • Taramasalata topped with trout roe and chives, • Aubergine caviar with tomato and crumbled feta, •Olive tapenade with deep, earthy note.
Then came a great dish, The dayboat ceviche that burst with brightness — delicately cured and laced with citrus juices, marinated delight with onion, chili, and coriander, bathing in a vibrant broth that hinted of the Ionian breeze. Fresh, punchy, and full of sea-kissed flavor.
We continued with the tomato salad with strawberries that was a revelation, featuring juicy local tomatoes, fresh strawberries, pickled shallots and fig — a sweet-savory masterpiece that danced with contrast and harmony.
The “Tsigaridia”, a humble Greek classic, was transformed into a refined delight: sautéed wild greens with feta and dill, gently wrapped in rice sheets — comforting, earthy, and quietly poetic.
But the true game-changer? A dish that will live in memory forever — The steamed dayboat fish gently poached in a rich broth of lemon, extra virgin olive oil, and black pepper emulsion. The texture was perfect, impossibly tender, melting into the tangy, rich jus like poetry on a plate. This dish, without exaggeration, was perfection on a plate!
We continued with a luscious Cacio e Pepe crab pasta, where the umami of bottarga dust elevated the creamy pepper sauce to new heights. Elegant, decadent, unforgettable.
As side dishes, we couldn’t resist the crispy prawns with garlic aioli — deeply satisfying Golden and light, with a whisper of the sea. We also had and the Cracked potatoes with bottarga, an unexpected combination that worked in perfect harmony.
Dessert was a fitting grande finale: the almond cake “Barbule”, elegantly topped with white chocolate, toasted almonds and a silky coffee caramel sauce. The sweet vine panna cotta, light, silky, and fragrant with hints of grape and herbs.

Read moreWe had such a great evening at Savoro in Assos. The view alone is worth it – sitting in front of the olive trees and watching the sunset was just incredible. It’s one of those spots where you just stop talking for a moment because of how beautiful it is.
The service was fantastic – really friendly and attentive without ever feeling too much. The whole vibe of the place feels like fine dining, but still relaxed enough that you can just enjoy yourself. It was also great that we got to meet the chef and have a nice conversation.
Food and wine were excellent. The oysters were super fresh and probably the best we have had in a long time. The dayfish was easily the star of the night – perfectly cooked and so flavorful yet not too complicated in flavours. Everything else we tried was delicious too, and the wine paired really well.
All in all, Savoro is definitely a special place in Assos. Amazing views, great food, and a lovely atmosphere – we’ll remember this dinner for...
Read moreSavoro was so nice we visited twice as a group of five during our week long stay in Assos. The restaurant is beautifully laid out across the terrace with chic settings and the most gorgeous sunsets over the ocean as your backdrop. The front of house team were lovely and friendly, with great recommendations for the menu and the island - a real credit to the establishment. The service was fantastic - attentive without being overbearing and very knowledgeable of the menu. A special thanks to Aris for his great recommendations for wines - everyone enjoyed every glass they drank. Agreed as a group one of the top meals we’ve ever eaten - each dish thought through and complimentary of another. We couldn’t believe it only opened this year, the level of hospitality matches that of highly regarded long established restaurants. Highly recommended! It truly deserves all its 5* reviews - we can’t wait to...
