Ate here two nights and one lunch. The first lunchtime and night it was fine. The guy who runs it is lovely but his staff are not so good. The first day we were told by the waitress that she knew nothing about the food and we had to speak to the main chap. The second night we chose to eat there because we thought the food was good and the main man was pleasant. We ordered a grilled chicken salad and a Greek salad. Could not fault the grilled chicken but the Greek salad was possibly the worst we've ever tasted. A Greek salad should have tomatoes, cucumber, sliced peppers, red onion, olives, feta, olive oil, oregano and lemon juice. This had soft feta which couldn't be crumbled, no dressing whatsoever and we were surprised to find jalapenos in it. When asked if all was ok we stated that we didn't like the non traditional Greek salad. Instead of taking our comments onboard we were told that we were wrong and that homemade feta should be soft and that clearly our taste buds are incorrect. This from the waitress who told us the day before that she knew nothing about the food and we should speak to the owner. Can't give it 1 star as we didn't have a totally bad experience but this restaurant really could do better.
To the owner. These reviews that are negative can be helpful to others and yourself. I am not the only person to give your restaurant a bad review so read them and adjust your way of training your staff. My main issue wasn't the food it was the reaction of your staff. If you feel like taking it personally then carry on but you will not progress in life. Live long and prosper my friend. I wish you...
Read morePoor quality, small portions. A tourist Trap! The man is full of sales pitch and fake friendly-ness, but it's clear they do not provide what you pay for.. and did not remedy our valid complaints..
I ordered grilled chicken (€13.50) which came with a tiny portion of frozen chips, both served on a small plate (evidently to make the portions look larger). My wife had a tiny portion of vegetarian moussaka and was still hungry after she'd finished it and she's only a small lady! The lettuce which came with it was old and brown.
They didn't bring any salt or oil to the table and when we asked for salt, they gave us two tiny sachets. There was no oil on the Greek salad, (€9.50). When we complained about it (in Greek), they smiled and pretended to the other customers that we were having a nice conversation, when we were clearly not happy with their service. My wife speaks fluent Greek as she lived there for 17 years and knows perfectly well what to expect when eating out - The man is clearly a greedy, money grabbing person as when he bought the bill over, we complained to him and he was desperate for us to pay and leave, without saying sorry or caring at all about our bad experience. We always tip, but didn't tip them. If you're used to Greek quality/price, do not...
Read moreA place to be avoided. My husband and I ordered the Greek salad (12.5€), stuffed peppers (8.5€), and kleftiko lamb with potatoes (18€).
Where do I start? The Greek salad was tasteless and boring. The peppers were average and chewy. To top off the dinner, the kleftiko arrived as 3 potatoes placed alongside 3 off-cuts of bones andskin/fat, with the smallest amount of meat. The amount of meat on this lamb was totally unacceptable and we felt like we had been taken advantage of. I took one small bite and the meat tasted as if it had been microwaved and was cooked days before. We were so disappointed in this dinner and after traveling around Greece for 2 months, this was definitely our worst meal to date.
When I approached the male owner and showed him what we had been served, he became argumentative and told me that lamb is expensive and to eat around the fat. There was no meat on the bone so that was not possible. The owner then stormed off and agreed to removing the item off the bill only if we paid in cash.
The cost of lamb does not mean that you serve your customers off-cuts. This restaurant may get away with serving this stuff to foreigners, but not to Greeks who know how our food should look and taste.
Overall, this was an overpriced, terrible...
