BEWARE!!!
Extremely aggressive staff!!
I was in the queue for the toilets holding another persons stuff as they went to the toilet, a man working there came over to me bearing in mind I am a teenage girl standing by myself. He started to get increasingly aggressive as he saw me standing there with a box from another cafe. I tried to explain this box was not mine, I was holding it for another person, he did not care, he got another person from the kitchen and they both started to shout and flare their arms at me, getting closer to me, louder and more animated, their faces were literally red with rage. They even reached over and shut the door to the bathrooms to physically stop me from going to the bathroom, not that I was even going to at that point, I felt frozen to the spot. I have never been so scared in my life and even when it was to the point that I was crying they did not stop shouting in my face even as I walked away, they only stopped once I was out of their sight. It took me a good hour to compose myself on a bench around the corner, using my sunglasses to hide the state I was in. It was humiliating and honestly terrifying, this may sound dramatic and silly to some people but you don’t know how it feels until you are in that situation.
I urge people to not support a business that does this...
Read moreI have lived here for 20 years and absolutely love Assos but I have to say its the 3rd time I've visited this cafe bar with friends of mine who are on holiday but I cant do this anymore. It's far from the real greek experience! 20 minute's to have our order taken, another 15 minute's to wait for 1 after and 2 drinks, we also order 2 toasts but they never came so we asked to pay and leave, another 10 minute's to wait. The waitresses were polite but the bar is obviously under bad management because they know they will get thousands of tourists who will go only once and never go back so they don't care. Such a shame for such a beautiful village to not have the real greek service. Sorry guys but you have to wake up a little and smell the coffee! Give people the service that you would like to receive or...
Read moreWe weren’t expecting anything special since Assos is a small town with no competition, and all the restaurants by the beach are equally bad. Unsurprisingly, this meal wasn’t great either. :-) We ordered “pizza,” but it was more like an overly salty, thick-crust pie with a few slices of salami and some oily cheese. The salads I saw on other tables looked decent, so maybe it’s just a matter of luck. The cocktails were okay, though. As for the service, it seemed like they were trained in the Czech Republic—those sour faces are something I only see back home. Pretty rare for the...
