Let me start by saying that this is a great place to stay. If you are going to Assos and want more of a villa than a hotel room, this is a solid option. The facilities are new, the bed is AMAZING in terms of comfort, and the view is great. Thomas makes an incredible breakfast and makes clear that he is there to help you. Can’t stress enough that Thomas is wonderful and this is a quality choice!
The following comments are for people like me who obsessively research places to stay.
There is room for improvement, so be aware of that compared to the luxury price you’re paying.
Location: There is no parking. You will have to walk up or down a steep hill, then up or down several flights of stairs. The proximity to Assos itself can’t be beat
Privacy: It is not as private as we anticipated. I went with my boyfriend and several homes could see everything we did on the balcony (we did not do anything scandy, but people were watching us like we were about to) Probably don’t stay here if you have a cat allergy. I have a mild one but love cats. Kefalonia is generally a stray cat paradise, and they roam freely. This apartment is directly in front of a vacant lot that is used as a giant cat litter box, and the villa smells accordingly. The cats also jump onto the porch and lay on the chairs and bean bags. I was here for it—the kittens were so cute—but at times my allergies did act up.
Facilities: The air conditioning and windows are tricky and often frustrating. The showers do not have doors, and our top floor shower did not drain properly—a clear construction defect—and we would soak towels every time we showered. The villa lacks a full length mirror we couldn’t figure out how to turn off outdoor lights at night We were told not to drink the tap water but no water was provided. This felt like something that should have been included for...
Read moreSuperbly presented and appointed villas. Thoughtful decor, modern and very clean. Extremely spacious and comfortable. Full kitchen and two bathrooms. Cleaning everyday. The location was fantastic. A short stroll down to the tavernas, the beach and shops. The views are something to be enjoyed any time of day. Use of a kayak comes with the accommodation offering. Popi and Panos are amazing hosts. They live close and are always on hand to help and answer any questions. Their home made breakfasts are some of the best we have ever had whilst travelling. Popi's handmade spanakopites are beyond delicious. We absolutely loved our four day stay and would stay again should we be so lucky to get back to Kefalonia. We couldn't recommend the villas and the hosts highly enough....
Read moreAssos is the most delightful and picturesque village in Kefalonia, and this is without doubt one of most delightful places to stay. It's not cheap, but you certainly get what you pay for, and are rewarded by lovely views, perfect Greek hospitality and luxurious, peaceful surroundings. Panos is a most welcoming host. He was there to meet our taxi and carried our luggage to our spacious split-level apartment, with terrace and plunge-pool overlooking the colourful village and the Kastro on the hill beyond. It's only a few minutes' walk to the square and harbour front. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen and is serviced every day, with breakfast brought to your room - a perfect Greek breakfast with yoghurt, fruit, eggs and home-made spinach pie. This...
