This is the new Italian restaurant in Fiskardo that leaves a lasting impression. The entire experience was extraordinary for us. We were warmly welcomed by Maria and the team whose smiles convinced us instantly to stay, then led to a table in a nice spot. The lighting was soft, just perfect for a relaxing al fresco dinner. Soon the sommelier came to our table with excellent suggestions for the wine, he was very helpful without being overbearing. Then, Maria came over and helped us pick amazing dishes based on our preferences, she was so knowledgeable and charming, pointing out the characteristics of the plates we were interested in, then making suggestions- everything she suggested turned out to be above our expectations! The service was well timed and impeccable, flavors were magical, we truly enjoyed everything about our dinner. Everything was seamlessly orchestrated and the professionalism of the personnel was truly impressive. They all seemed to genuinely enjoy and love what they do. We can’t wait to come back soon! We definitely recommend the red mullet Tagliolini- it’s beyond delicious…(thank you Maria!) Congratulations to the great chef, and the excellent team especially Maria for turning a simple dinner to this magical...
Read moreWhat began as a pleasant evening quickly unraveled into one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in Greece.
The food was uninspiring at best. The eggplant Parmesan was passable but forgettable. The chicken fillet with gnocchi was painfully dry and underwhelming. Even the Aperol Spritz, which should be a safe bet, was average, only for us to discover later that they cost an eye-watering €22 each (more than the main dishes themselves!).
The real disaster came at the end. When we politely questioned the bill, the owner’s reaction was shocking. He slammed his palm on the bar, shouted “This is FINE DINING!”, and then literally ran off into the kitchen yelling “Go away!”. Aggressive, unprofessional, and downright nasty.
I’ve lived in London, Cannes and Amsterdam so I know what premium dining looks and feels like. Tra Due is not it. The food is mediocre, the prices are absurd, and the owner’s behavior towards paying customers is unacceptable.
Verdict: AVOID. This place treats its guests like garbage and offers neither...
Read moreNew kid on the block, in the square just off the harbour, this was the best all rounder during our five day stay in Fiscardo. Yep, it’s not Greek, but serves the finest Italian food I have tasted. The service was attentive and highly professional. From the moment we were welcomed, we could see this was a restaurant that meant business. We were forewarned that their card machine wasn’t functioning - there’d been a storm that cut out the towns electricity the night before - but they explained it in such a charming way, I was joked with them that I hadn’t had a free dinner in ages. We shared watermelon gazpacho with feta and basil infused oil and caviar. For mains we had Risotto with mushroom, white truffle oil and crayfish, and Veal Milanese with truffle mayo. Dessert was a classic tasty Tiramisu. The wine list is extensive with a knowledgable sommelier on hand to assist. We highly...
