So UNPROFESSIONAL.
I am greek so I know tavernas and greek food pretty well.
I ordered 3 things, greek salad, fries, and tyrokauteri. It was pretty expensive but I thought it made sense since it was a monopoly.
We were WARNED that the staff was going to charge us more. AND THEY DID.
they brought us bread we didn't ask for, but I was willing to pay since I ate it. 1.50€
But the worst part was that they charged the olive oil in the greek salad, 1.5€ extra. Even though it was already 8 euros.
This was nowhere in the menu. When I spoke to the head waiter he avoided me and used flattery, like all scammers do.
Then he referred me to the boss, who was a huge old man who was literally talking nonsense to me non stop.
He was telling me things like: " u seem rich, u don't have a problem paying". And , "I brought you here 13km from the city, I have the olive oil bought separately, I have bills to pay."
Also didn't give us a receipt
avoid them, they are rude, and they will wait for tourists to go there to eat, who are hungry and try to exploit them. Bad experience. Mediocre food.
I genuinely felt sorry for the young waiter who was honestly very polite and professional. I wish he was in charge, things would be different...
My suggestion: drink something from the bar and lay down with your towel to avoid interaction with them.
The beach...
Read moreLet's begin by acknowledging the location for what it is: a small restaurant situated on a secluded beach at the far end of the island, entirely dependent on generators. That's about where the positives end.
If I were at home, I would consider this place average because our experience was neither particularly good nor bad. However, on this island, where we've consistently enjoyed superb service, delicious food, and boundless kindness, this restaurant stands out as the worst we've encountered. Compared to local standards, it falls short.
The dishes are microwaved and lack flavor, especially the fish dishes, which I wouldn't recommend. Despite this, the prices are absurdly high, comparable to those in a clean, comfortable, genuine restaurant. This was the first place where we didn’t leave a tip.
They might tell you that paying by card is tricky, but it actually works perfectly fine. Don’t...

When we went to the counter to pay, the man at the till (apparently the owner) rudely said the beer was €7 and snapped, “I don’t care what she told you – I didn’t say that.” He spoke to us in a very disrespectful tone, clearly annoyed.
On top of that, he didn’t want us to pay by card, which made things even more uncomfortable. In the end, he told us we could just leave everything and go if we didn’t like it.
It’s clear from the many negative reviews that this isn’t a one-time issue. If you want to enjoy your time in Skiathos, do yourself a favor and skip this place. Not...
