We recently had the pleasure of visiting Mahogani, and it was an experience to remember. Nestled above Agios Nikolaos, this art cafe is a true hidden gem.
From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the unique ambiance. The decor is a perfect blend of modern elegance and artistic flair, with stunning artwork adorning the walls and a cozy, inviting atmosphere. The lighting is just right, creating a warm and intimate setting that’s perfect for any occasion. The beautiful terrace is an absolute highlight, offering breathtaking views and a serene outdoor space. It’s adorned with lush greenery and comfortable seating, making it an ideal spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings.
The cocktail menu is a work of art, featuring a variety of innovative and expertly crafted drinks. Each cocktail is a delightful blend of flavors, presented with flair and creativity. I particularly enjoyed the Spicy Margarita, since the homemade Jalapeño infused Tequila that is used, offers a unique taste combination.
The food was equally outstanding. The menu offers a diverse selection of dishes, each one more tempting than the last. We opted for the Surprise Menu, and it did not disappoint. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the presentation was exquisite. The meal was perfectly capped off with a delicious cheesecake dessert, which was creamy, rich, and beautifully presented. Sofia’s attention to detail and use of local ingredients really shone through.
The service was top-notch. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly, making sure that every aspect of our visit was perfect. They were more than happy to offer recommendations and answer any questions we had.
Overall, Mahogani exceeded all our expectations. It’s the perfect spot for a night out with friends, a romantic date, or even just a solo visit to unwind and enjoy some incredible art, cocktails, and food. We can’t wait to return and explore more of what this fantastic place...
Read moreArt Café Mahagoni is a truly magical place with a stunning view of the sea — one of those rare spots where everything comes together perfectly.
We chose the set menu, which allowed us to try a variety of delicious dishes — from starters to mains and desserts, everything was homemade and full of flavor. The fried cod was absolutely delicious, and the homemade meatballs made with local beef were a real highlight.
The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, especially to our children, which made the evening even more enjoyable.
The drinks were excellent too — we had Negronis, and the kids enjoyed their non-alcoholic cocktails.
A particularly thoughtful touch: the restaurant offers free water, explaining that the tap water on the island isn’t drinkable, so they provide bottled water at no extra charge — something we really appreciated.
The interior of the restaurant is a piece of art in itself — creative, unique, and absolutely worth seeing.
You can truly feel the love and passion behind this place. Highly recommended for a special evening...
Read moreEclectic little place with fantastic cocktails and food, well worth a visit. We went several times for drinks and the staff are very welcoming and helpful. The atmosphere is homely with an arty vibe, with a variety of things to look at other than the stunning view. We tried the taster menu, which consisted of a sample of every dish available. The pairings in each of the dishes were very well thought out and executed, a particular favourite being the shrimp and red cabbage, as well as the potato salad. Desserts were also amazing, with the lightest cheesecake I've ever had, topped with a homemade strawberry jam that is the best I've ever tasted (we ended up putting it on everything and even eating it on its own!). Cocktails were well made and tasty and definitely not lacking in punch. Entertainment was also 10/10, with the staff being chatty and friendly and the kittens in the bar being adorable....
