Taverna Porto — Restaurant in Zakynthos Municipality

Go here if you want to have a silly discussion. Not all we ordered came, so I wanted to check the receipt before paying. This was not possible, according to the lady, first the payment and then the receipt. When I explained, the lady got offended, stating they only charge for what was served. Then the receipt came, in Greek, and I get "explained" that we're in Greece. However, all lines were the same, with different prices. After confirming the amount was correct, I simply paid (only cash accepted, as the pin didn't work) and walked away, to then be yelled at not to forget my water bottle. It was a funny experience, to the enjoyment of me and other guests, but needless to say I won't go...

Nice outlook of ocean. But that's where it stops. Ordered breakfast got 2 english breakfast that with sunny side up eggs. Was not impressed at all. One serving of the eggs looked like they just didn't care to leave where u dip your bread in just fry it until it died pretty much. The other serving of eggs in the english breakfast was not much better. That is a necessity to know how to fry an egg and its not rocket science Also they forgot my daughters order she only wanted 2 sunny side up eggs with bread. They couldn't even get that right. We had to ask then to see if they were making it and they said no they had forgot that order. Very careless. Wouldn't go back...

This family-run tavern is a real gem. The food is excellent – from wood-fired pizza and juicy burgers to authentic traditional Greek dishes, all complemented by fresh juices and refreshing drinks. The hardworking family behind the restaurant creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere, making every guest feel at home. The location is stunning, with a balcony overlooking the Mediterranean Sea – especially breathtaking at sunset. Prices are very reasonable, often better than at other restaurants in the harbour, and the relaxed, friendly vibe makes it a perfect spot to return to.
