From the moment we arrived at night to a golden lit pathway of flower potted cobblestone to our last good bye at the crack of dawn when we finally beat the rooster up, this place was pure joy!! First of all we were met late in the evening by the middle son of this generous family who gave us a tour of the place. He parked our car( small turn around space) and graciously took us down to one of the breathtaking views at the restaurant and provided drinks all around which was greatly appreciated after our long journey there! Breakfast ( which is included) was superb. Cappuccinos, lattes, fresh squeezed OJ, fresh eggs, yogurt, luscious fruit; I can still taste it now!! Service here is beyond compare. Servers are very professional and go to great strides to meet every request. Meals were tops but I highly recommend the sea bass and grilled vegetable plate at evening meal!! Grecia ( probably did not spell that right) was our daily guide to helping us plan our days. She found us a wonderful boat captain named George who picked us up at the boat dock and took us to see the amazing blue caves and shipwreck. We got to swim in one of the caves along with swimming with tons of small blue fish in another place. Amazing day on the water. Grecia also saved us prime sunbathing spots as servers met every need( drinks, water, towels). This is NOT a snobby place, just well run!! The rooms are small, but have every need addressed. Large windows in each room (we were in the Sfodilas suite) open out onto a private balcony were we would sit and plan our days, have a coffee, or just relax watching the geese nearby the sea. Water pressure was great and plenty of lovely amenities. They provide large bottles of water, good wine, coffee, beach towels and bag, robes and slippers all in the room! We met the family patriarch and matriarch. Both are so kind. The mother runs a beautiful boutique there where I was able to purchase some gifts for home and they threw in a discount for those who stay in the lodge. Our final night there, the mother told us of a special place to go for sunset. It was incredible! Overall, we were treated as special guests and attention was paid to each tiny detail in a beautiful cozy lodge by the sea. By far, this was one of the best traveling experiences we have had. Hope we...

Read moreThe setting (table placement, view, etc) of this restaurant is TOP, the food was INCREDIBLE. Huge compliments to the chefs here. Particularly, the sea urchin and locust lobster was the freshest and best i’ve ever had, hands down. The taramosolata and cheese saganaki were the best we’ve had in all our 2 weeks in greece at top restaurants.
The waitress was busy when we arrived, as a service industry worker i totally get it, but being warm, welcoming, and helpful are imperative. Especially at this price.
The entire process of getting our order taken really threw me off and stressed me out.
it was a special night for us and i really wanted some help to curate the perfect menu, so.. i prefaced ordering by letting her know it was our anniversary and i wanted some guidance, she replied “let’s get to the point”, i’m not difficult and was not asking tons of questions, i just wanted some validation and to make sure i did not miss out on key dishes or order too much food (which we did, we got 4 appetizers, taramosalata with bread and saganaki, sea urchin and 4 oysters, with a huge locust lobster, and seafood pasta).
She did not offer any guidance whatsoever, she spent maybe 3 minutes at the table. I wish she had been looking out for us more and told us the seafood pasta (65€) would be too much, we could not even touch it we were so full.
The incredibly nice bussers and somelier totally made up her almost rude beginning vibe, i will say, when it got quieter the waitress’ mood lightened as well. However, she did not say bye before leaving which might be a north american custom, but it had me wondering who to ask for dessert etc. I ended up calling over a busgirl, who was not the same one as earlier, and she was really nice also. We left a good tip and really hope the busgirls and somelier see some of it.
Overall, the rest of the staff and the food made up for it and i left really happy, with our pasta to go, which we ate the next day and was good. i definitely...
