Never judge a book by its cover!

We have been coming to tsilivi for years.

We walked past this place a few times this week and noticed it’s now a restaurant and it does look very lovely especially as we really like a garden setting.

So tonight we decided to give it a go and well, we were severely disappointed. The service was utterly terrible. (I must point out it wasn’t even busy)

Seated at a table for 6 (we had a party of 8) Had to wait a short while for 2 extra menus and cutlery.

Starters were incorrect and not what we ordered.

Majority of the waiters (except 1 gentleman) had faces like slapped bottoms and didn’t even acknowledge us.

Over 45 minutes from finishing our starters we were sat with dirty plates despite flagging down 2 different waiters.

We had to get up and order our own drinks at the bar as nobody came to us, again we tried asking twice.

Our main meals took over 1 hour to arrive during this time I decided to check out their reviews. We were not alone. It seems this is common practice for them and nothing has improved.

With all the competition that there is in tsilivi I doubt these will last very long as most places rely on replete customers considering a lot of tourists return each year after year like ourselves.

Restaurant is very beautiful, big and nice atmosphere. However, I believe it is too big to have only 1 person taking orders. Waited to order food for almost 30 minutes with 3 people that I asked if I could order with them said they'll call somebody who could take the order. And waited for food another 45 minutes. We were very tired from the tour and already were at the restaurant pretty late, and I believe all those caused by shorten staffs as I saw only 3 ladies running welcoming and taking orders. I ordered the kind of seafood pasta without shrimp as I'm allergic and I asked if there is any ingredients with shrimp or not and the lady didn't understand my question. We went there because another restaurant owner suggested us to go there. Maybe call restaurant first if it is busy or not before you go.

Also my pasta was very salty that I could eat only the other things in the dish with rice from my bf's food. I told the lady when she asked how was it and she didn't understand and repeated me if it was too much. I was too tired to...

An incredible experience from start to finish. Can not wait to go back to try different plates.

The staff were welcoming, friendly, happy to talk about the menu and had time to have a laugh. Theo served us brilliant and nothing was too much.

The food well 'WOW' it was incredible. I left feeling so full and everyone's dish was super delicious. We all said it was the best meal we have had in a while especially as we've tried so many places having family living on the island.

The best for us was the kids menu with lots of food quality options. We was not disappointed when it came out. A proper little greek experience for our little girl which she loved. The portion was amazing and just right for her and quality food. Even better that they had a little play area at the back so my little one was away having a play leaving me to try one of the cocktails from the cocktail menu.
