Horio — Restaurant in Zakynthos Municipality

One of the best taverna in Alikanas. We eat here 3 times now. And we decide to go there in our last night. We eat also in other places so I can make comparison. We are 5 people and almost every time we eat different kind of food. So we tried many of the recipes in the menu. We decided that here we've met the best taste in comparison with other taverna. We eat very good also in other places but maybe here is what we are looking for. Of course we are agreed with " De gustibus et coloribus non est disputandum " but this was our opinion based on more than 10 taverna in this island but we were in Kefalonia, Corfu, Lefkada, Thassos, Evia, Skopelos, Skiatos, Alonissos and other places too. It is not the best I ever met in all of this islands but is the best I've was here. The personnel is very well prepared and kindly. Prices is good. I recommend to try this place also. After we got delayed at the airport, we finally reached Alikanas around 22.30 in the night. After a few places, Horio seemed nice and we decided to try it. After a long day, Horio did an amazing job of introducing us to the Greek, Zante vibe where suddenly 22.30 didn’t seem that late anymore. Despite being a medium to la large restaurant, you don’t feel just like a number. The small details such as the colour choice, the waiter’s outfit and the awesome Zante map as a table cover just make you feel that you are on holiday, in Greece, in Zante. Based on all reviews I had huge expectations. Positives: we loved Moussaka, very delicious. Fried pork was good as well. But seafood pasta was below average. Just little seafood in the plate.
