We had a wonderful evening at Johnny’s. The food was excellent and the prices very reasonable. But what truly made this experience unforgettable was the incredibly friendly staff. I’m not exaggerating when I say their warmth and kindness left a lasting impression.

Their friendliness felt sincere and unforced — not driven by expectations of tips, but by a genuine sense of hospitality. They were attentive, professional, and especially kind towards our two-year-old daughter Joana, which meant a lot to us.

I visited with my wife and daughter, and during dinner I had a brief flashback to my very first trip to Greece, when I experienced the same kind of heartfelt hospitality in a countryside tavern on Amorgos. It’s a memory I’ve always cherished, and Johnny’s brought that feeling back.

Authentic Greek Food & Heartfelt Hospitality – Johnnys, Zakynthos

We dined at Johnnys twice during our stay in Zakynthos and loved it down to the last detail! The food was incredibly tasty – full of authentic Greek flavors, freshly prepared, and beautifully served.

What made the experience truly special was the warm and attentive staff. They checked in on us often, made sure everything was perfect, and were genuinely eager to fulfill any request. As a kind gesture, we even received a complimentary dessert – a sweet surprise that made the evening even more memorable.

This is a late review from the end of season, October 2024. We liked this restaurant so much that we ate there several times in two weeks. This is unusual for us as we like to try different restaurants each night. All the staff were welcoming and friendly, taking the time to chat, even when we were just passing by. The food was excellent, always freshly cooked. We took turns in ordering one particular dish that we both liked, but I'll leave it to you to find your own favourite as there's plenty to choose from.
