We visited this restaurant during our stay and unfortunately overall we were quite disappointed. We were seated and not long afterwards our drinks order was taken. My mojito arrived without crushed ice. We ordered food, my son’s garlic bread arrived, 5 minutes later my cheese saganaki arrived, both very tasty but my husband was left waiting ages for his calamari. Both my son and I had finished our starters and his still hadn’t arrived! We wanted to eat together that’s the whole point of coming for a meal together! The mains arrived afterwards, my husband and son shared the souvlaki for 2 which looked great and they both enjoyed. I had the mixed grill for 1 and it quickly became apparent that the chicken wasn’t cooked, it was pink with blood on it. I mentioned it to the waitress who told me to put it on a separate plate and give it to her, they brought the one piece back cooked further. I ate more then discovered another piece exactly the same with blood on it! I didn’t bother saying anything until the end that time as I didn’t want to keep interrupting our family meal. At the end they asked if everything was ok, the waitress looked at the bloody chicken and said ‘another one’ do you want me to cook it some more? I said no it’s put me off! What I wanted was for it to be cooked properly in the first place! They made no offer to discount the meal or anything, really put me off and we won’t...
Read moreI really don't like to give a poor rating of a Tsilivi restaurant, especially during these very difficult times but I write this in hope that this improves future visits to the restaurant. Unfortunately, we left the restaurant a little disappointed. The food was delicious and we cannot fault it for that but the main course was a little bit small, with only a few chips on each of our plates too.
The most disappointing issue, however, was the fact that the owner's son/grandson was sat on his mobile phone at the very front of the restaurant the entire time we were there, playing games and watching rubbish with the volume blasting out. It was very distracting and completely took the edge off our meal out. We have children of our own and we realise that this is what they choose to do with their spare time these days but there were other places for him to sit and not disturb customers. There were other customers that were also distracted by this too.
The hospitality wasn't very personable either with absolutely no conversation from the proprietors.
We have eaten at almost every restaurant in Tsilivi since we first came in 2017 but this is the only restaurant we can give negative feedback on.
Sadly, we will be unlikely to return to...
Read moreStrange vibes. We were greeted by a gentleman, who 5 minute after we ordered startene yelling things in a different language to the lady in the kitchen I assume. There was a kind young boy that took our order and a young lady, who acted like she didn't want to be there and that came out to the customers. We ordered a greek salad(horiatiki) with some foul tasting green olives, a tzatziki with little to no garlic, French fries (homemade thank God), a shrimp and calamari dish. The shrimp dish was somewhat spicy (it wasn't noted on the menu), the calamari was OK. At some point the owner was practicing or playing music with his keyboard while some other customers were waiting for somebody to notice them so that they can get the check. Overall the food was average and the atmosphere was not a good representation of greek hospitality. We hope it was just a bad day for them. Either way we won't...
