Hi, I am from India and we know how the taste of Indian food should be, first we ordered sweet lassi it’s like more water mixed with little yogurt and lot many ice cubes, I never tasted such a watery lassi, then ordered starter tandoori chicken tikka, he will give 4 small pieces that is very dry and no taste for that given sweet curd dip, usually they must give green chutney, then ordered garlic naan that was half fried then ordered fried rice that was no taste it’s like eating plain rice… overall very bad experience for the people who wants to taste actual Indian dishes… I highly recommend please don’t waste your money…
Response to owner comments: Try to educate Your waiter to ask for spicy level at the time of taking order... yes plates are empty because as an Indian we respect the value of food and its no point in wasting food to bin... hope you remember first time we said lassi is watery with only ice cubes and again you bought by adding bit less water but never the lassi ... but still we said ok ok because we understood you have no knowledge to prepare a lassi ... we ordered one starter, one side course and one main course and curry along with juice and beer... you mean everything will come for 4 euros soooo funny . do you think we must try all the items from your menu to give review on each item... how could you say we are giving false review... if you serving food only for Europeans you should have mentioned it when you welcomed us and never bothered coming to our table and asking for the taste of food also i suggest change your restaurant name to Maharaja indian food served only for europeans because you know that we are not satisfied with food and already gave reviews with your waiter, because we know exactly how our indian food should taste like. If any customer gives review try to have courage to accept it and adopt a change ,then only you can...
Read moreWent there and we intended to have a full meal, however we left after just the starters. Of the numerous issues, 1 poppadom is served with really very small amount of condiments, we ordered 4 poppadams as there were 4 of us (only 2 popadoms came so we got that corrected after quite a bit of explaining) however we were expected to make do with the condiment portion only suitable for 1 poppadom !!!! Also only 1 teaspoon between the 4 pots of minescule portioned condiments and the 4 of us. (I did ask for 3 extra teaspoons please but this was met by either blatant ignorance or total incompetence as the waiter instructed us to use the dessert spoons on the table that were intended for our mains NB: the dessert spoons in question were actually bigger than the condiment pots and would not fit into the condiment bowls). Then the starters came, well sort of in parts at a time, not all together, the waiter just kept placing the dishes on the table without clearing any of the other empty poppadom items away, I tried to get his attention but had to clear things away myself for our party. The only starter that was ok was the chicken chat followed by the onion Bhaji was just ok. The chicken tikka was terrible, dry & badly overcooked, the chicken pakora terrible & dry, and oh my god the Chinese style chicken satay was like no other chicken satay I’ve ever eaten in multiple places all over the world !!!!! JUST APPALLING!!!! We asked for the bill & payed & left, the waiter / owner made a half hearted attempt to ask what was wrong and when I tried to explain he simply lost interest and I felt was quite rude. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy frankly & a shame because my favourite food is Indian &...
Read moreNo atmosphere , extremely bad service ridiculed when I said I wanted 2 starters . Because they are unable to prepare a Kashmiri Korma ?? Indian chef ( don’t think 🤔 he even asked the chef ) . Fanta on menu not Fanta served but a cheap brand supermarket alternative . Pakora ? Tasted like chicken nuggets no flavour at all . I clearly asked for the soup as a starter and pakora as main . Pakora brought first so my husband was almost finished before my starter arrived 🤨. On a positive the chicken sweetcorn soup lovely and hubby enjoyed his Chinese curry and onion bhaja . The man who I think was main waiter asked everyone else if they were enjoying their meal but completely ignored us after I asked for something different . ( he perhaps should have looked as if he would try to help and then shown empathy and apologised the dish could not be made that I asked for and perhaps offered a close alternative .. but he made me feel foolish instead )Customer service is not hard and I shouldn’t have been made to...
