Contradicting review based on 2 visits. The first was actually really good, food was good, staff and service were also good. Let down by being short changed by 20 euros when paying the bill. This was rectified immediately without question, and this should have set alarm bells ringing.
Against our better judgement, we returned for a second time. The famous Greek 'Barbeque Buffet' night. Our table was placed right next to the Buffet table even though we opted not to have the Buffet. Half an hour of table knocking, chair pushing and elbow bashing whilst the hordes scrambled to get their nutritious fix.....
Personally, I ordered the Texas steak, marketed as a sirloin steak with Mexican sauce and trimmings. Low and behold, drenched and covered in a Mexican mix of sauce presumably to hide the fact that underneath was a pork loin steak!!!
I questioned the host who immediately went to the kitchen to question the chefs. He returned to tell me it was in fact 'a small beef steak'. Nope, it was definitely pork.... he then returned with an uncooked piece of meat telling me it was beef... it was quite clearly pork. My intelligence has been well and truly insulted.
I was ignored after that with no resolution offered. We paid up and left,...
Read moreOf all the things i ever ate in my life i never thought i'd one try souvlaki. Not just any souvlaki. Fish souvlaki! Not just any fish, but spearfish! And I must say, I am really glad I tried it, the meat tender and juicy and the vedges flavorful while the plating was... pleasantly unexpected :) easier to serve than originally thought. The point of reference for complimenting the spearfish souvlaki was the chicken and bacon souvlaki my wife had which was ... dry and hard to swallow. I even got an unexoected compliment that i finished my plate in recorder time while my wife and friends were still chewing on the chicken. If there is a souvlaki I highly recommend is the fish one. it's 2 euro more expensive than the chicken one, but you wont regret. The tavern served a HIGH variety of greek dishes, and it made it difficult to pick one. The musaka caught my eye, the gyros plate, the greek plate, the rabbit, the sea bass (locally sourced), heck pastitzio (spaghetti with meat cooked with wine, baked in the oven) was my first choice but the long waiting time to order made me change my mind. The place definitely requires more than 3 visits. Prices are accesible, personnel friendly and...
Read moreWould give 0 stars if possible! Was pre booked for a family event. Entertainment, whilst good and interactive, is a distraction to the long wait for food. We arrived at 7 pm,orders taken by 8, and it was after 9;30 before we got any food. Orders came out in a ridiculous fashion. My husband and son got their orders whilst I was left waiting another 20 minutes. Families that ordered food at the same time got them at different times.1 kiddie was left waiting 2 hours for a plate of chips. Staff whilst apologetic only did so when questioned about orders. I had ordered beef nachos, which came out with chicken undercooked on it. We refused to pay for the nachos. Staff were bringing out food and didn't know who it was for which was difficult to hear as the music was quite noisy and loud. Was a disaster from start from start to finish. Sorriest thing we did was book the restaurant. So disappointing and upset...
