The Vintage — Restaurant in Zakynthos Municipality

Exceptional being the key word to start my review.. from the warm welcome to the classy atmosphere and onto the outrageously good food vintage is a winner to those who enjoy fresh, beautifully cooked food, served to you by a well mannered, friendly family team. And to add the food isnt just exquisitely cooked it comes very well plated and in very healthy portion sizes. We dined our first night on their pork rib rack dish.. our server took our order our drinks were on the table pronto and we was given a large cut of fresh baked bread to include a homemade Tzatziki, olives and fresh cut seasoned tomatoes.. again uber fresh ingredients, soft warm bread. Delicious.. then came quite possibly the best rack of ribs i have eaten. As an accomplished chef this was tough to admit but nothing but praise to the chefs at vintage.. freshly cut homemade chips, well dressed large salad side. superb dining experience all round. Bravo to the chefs and the whole team at vintage.. i can not recomend this restaurant enough.

Edit: we have since been back twice... the chateaubriand is cooked, seared and rested to perfection... seafood is fresh, clean and melts in your mouth.

The slow cooked beef ribs hit different at vintage.. WOW!!

Lovely welcome when we arrived, we ordered a very expensive meal as my partner and I were celebrating, we sat and watched 4 different couples sit down and order, then finish their meals pay and leave before we had even received our food, another couple complained that it took nearly and hour for food and they arrived after us, we asked where our food was and they said they cook to order and it won't be long, then a further 15 minute wait with no apologies at all, the steak arrived and was cold, to the point we sent it back, the side dish of potatoes and salad was 1 portion only and the meal was advertised as a sharing steak, the waitress said 'I did ask if all was alright and you said yes' she hadn't asked, we didn't say yes as we hadn't eaten anything at this point, she then disappeared leaving the steak on our table. Other people seemed to have earm welcomes and good food, maybe we caught them on an off night, but it wasn't busy, not even half full, the food was bad and the service terrible, we left leaving only 30 euros to cover the 3 drinks we had and about two mouthfuls of steak. We had a much better experience in the Olive Tree just...

I rarely leave reviews, but my experience tonight was so appalling that I feel compelled to warn others. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs. What was supposed to be a pleasant dinner turned into an absolute nightmare.

The service was completely unacceptable from start to finish. We were seated relatively quickly, but then seemingly forgotten. We waited an agonizing hour and a half just for our food to arrive, with not a single apology or update from the staff. When it finally did show up, it was a total mess.

My food order was completely wrong, and to add insult to injury, three out of four steaks we received was cooked incorrectly – nowhere near the temperature I requested. It's clear there's a serious lack of communication and attention to detail in the kitchen and among the front-of-house staff.

Save your time, money, and sanity. There are plenty of other establishments that actually value their customers. I will never be returning here, and I strongly advise you to seek your dining...
