Un esplosione di sapori! An italian idiom we use when we can't define how delicious the food is. The restaurant is located in an anonymous street near the turtle sea rescue centre. You have to overcome the first tavern and you will find a place covered by flowers and trees. With classical blue and white tables, typical colour of Greece and Greek taverns, there is the restaurant of family business. You can sit at the open air, not under the sun and take a look of the fresh offers from the menu. Ask to the waiter for suggests and advise, the boy is friendly and he will tell you what is better to order for the day. While you are waiting the food children can play safely in the kindergarten, that is part of the Tavern. The food was delightful, we tried cretan salad, fried peppers, tzatziki, local oil chesse, pita bread and the sardines but unfortunately they went out so we changed for fresh sea bream and fried squid. We appreciated everything, special mention to the squid and sea bram that were savory, then we asked for the desserts and the boy suggested us to try kataifi home made.. it was a good choice. The check wasn't expensive, we paid 60 for 3...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOur spaghetti Napolitano and rabbit in tomato sauce were with a bad quality tomato sauce, more a ketchup taste, and the spaghetti was only boiled and at the top a single spoonful of sauce( it looked so horrible that we returned back). No oil for the spaghetti just boiled and almost no sauce. High prices and low quality products offered.
Any restaurant which gives you by default some small breads at the beginning and charge you at the end 1 euro per bread, 3 in total for us ( no one asked this in the order, they take advantage of the fact that foreigners cannot understand greek language), is a Stay Away place.
The high rate I believe is from people which confuse the holiday time and positive attitude with price and food quality.
Highly disappointing when it comes to...

Baked zucchini was nice, beef burger was proper, although dry. Baked spaghetti with mushrooms and veggies was ok although a bit bland. Pasta with prawns was a disaster. To put it in a royal manner: it didnāt smell very nice. Pink prawns were black. When we told the young waiter that it was unfresh and stinky, we were still made to pay for the dish, although we didnāt even touch it. That is why only 2 stars. If you are hungry and desperately need to eat you may consider this place otherwise go...
