We spent our last evening on Zakynthos dining at Nobile. From the very first course, we were impressed by the refinement of flavours and the quality of the dishes. Each plate showed care, creativity, and a clear ambition to cook at a high level.
What stood out just as much was the enthusiasm and dedication of the team. It’s clear that everyone is working hard to give guests a memorable experience, and that deserves recognition. There’s a lot of passion 'on the roof' ;-), that made our evening special.
Still, there are a few areas where there’s room for improvement. The wine list is quite limited; we missed the presence of a few real ‘gems’ you might expect at this level. That said, the wine we eventually chose paired beautifully with the 9-course menu.
Service could benefit from a bit more structure. Wine glasses should not be empty before being refilled, and the timing of clearing and serving could be just a little smoother. The sommelier appeared slightly unsure at times. Unnecessarily, because the knowledge is clearly there. With a bit more calm and confidence, her role would shine even more.
One important issue: one of us has a hazelnut allergy, and yet a pre-dessert dish containing hazelnuts was served. That’s a serious oversight in a fine dining setting, and something we hope will be taken seriously in the future.
And, another small point: paying the bill while standing in the hotel lobby with a mobile payment terminal in hand felt a bit rushed and didn’t quite match the tone of the rest of the evening.
Still, we’d like to end on a high note: the ambition is tangible, and we’re genuinely curious to see how Nobile will continue to grow. If the same passion is applied to refining the finer details, this may well become a place deserving not only a Michelin Key, but also a Chef’s Mention in the future (and a five star review).

Read moreI made a reservation at this restaurant a week in advance for a special fine dining experience to surprise my best friend on her birthday. The booking was made online, and I received a confirmation via email, so I was confident everything was set for our Friday evening plans.
However, on the day of the reservation, they called me just four hours ahead of the scheduled time. I was on a boat tour on an island at that moment and couldn't pick up the call. When I called them back two hours later, they informed me that because they couldn't reach me, they gave away my table to someone else! They claimed they had tried to contact me by email first (which they didn’t—I checked all folders, including spam) and said they had called me several times, though I only had one missed call. My phone was on the entire time.
Try to imagine my frustration and disappointment when I found out that my birthday surprise dinner for my friend had been canceled for no reasonable reason, just hours before the scheduled time. It was a fine dining experience that I carefully planned, only to be left with nothing on a Friday evening.
If you're thinking of dining here, do not rely on their reservation system. A confirmed booking apparently isn’t enough, and you should call them yourself to ensure they don’t cancel on you.

Handwerklich waren sowohl das Essen als auch die Weinbegleitung sehr gut. Der Service war wertschätzend und freundlich. Die Location auf dem Dach des Hotels ist ebenfalls einen Besuch wert - man hat eine wunderbare Aussicht, fühlt sich ganz abgeschieden vom Alltag und kann Sonnenuntergang und Sternenhimmel genießen. Ein Manko war die Portionsgröße - am Anfang etwas zu wenig, ab Gang 4 wurde es zu viel, sodass man insgesamt zu kämpfen hatte, was schade ist. Das Dessert enttäuschte mich im Geschmack etwas und insgesamt stellt sich natürlich die Frage, ob hier bessere Zutaten als im täglichen Hotelbetrieb Verwendung finden. Zu erwarten wäre das.
