The staff was very nice and the location is convenient to the park. BUT the food was so not anything resembling Mediterranean and was very disappointing. I ordered a gyro 🥙 which should look like a sandwich, but it was 3 patties of meat with two pieces of lettuce and a few thin slices of Roma tomato alongside some baguette (the baguette was yummy). The tzatziki like sauce was a peppered mayonnaise that has no business in a gyro. What is disappointing is that all of the ingredients for a really amazing gyro are here in xela - the fresh cucumbers, dill, garlic, and yogurt for a killer tzatziki, fresh greens tomatoes and onions to dress the meat, and a great tradition of bread making here in the city for delicious pita bread, not to mention that switching out the sad little patties for grilled chicken would be a solid...
