I loved staying at Casa Nativos. It is in an awesome location, its really clean, and the people working there are great. There is a good view from the terrace, and the night that I stayed there was live music, which I loved.||||The day I arrived in Quetzaltenango I lost my wallet. The owners of the hostel were incredibly kind to me. They stuck with me to contact people to try to find my wallet, they kept on checking in with me through my stay to make sure I was all right, and they offered me dinner and breakfast because they knew that I didn't have a way to eat without my money. I was really impressed with their kindness, and I hope that one day I can pass it on.||||Just a warning to travelers going to Quetzaltenango: Bring a sleeping bag. It gets super cold there. Also keep in mind that the best central location may have some noise at night time.||||Thank you Casa Nativos for making my stay in Xela so awesome! I hope to be able...
Read moreI spent two nights in Casa Nativos and really enjoyed the stay. The location is perfect right across the street from Central Park and Pasaje Enriquez is full of restaurants and bars to enjoy your evenings. The staff was very welcoming and friendly, the terrace bar and restaurant has great food and drinks and everything was very clean and they make sure to constantly be cleaning up. I stayed in a 4 person dorm at a great rate and I was the only person in the room so it was very comfortable and private. The only reason I rated 4 stars is because the mattresses on the bunk beds were very thin and made sleeping a bit uncomfortable, you can feel the wooden beams on your back. Friends that were in a different room had comfortable beds so this might just be an issue with the dorm beds. Overall a great stay and I would recommend them as a great...
Read moreI stayed at Casa Nativos for 5 weeks while studying Spanish in Xela. The location is great, right off of Parque Central. Their long term rates are excellent. The rooms are clean, beds are fairly new, and the bathrooms are thoroughly cleaned at least once daily. ||Beware, because of the central location, there can be a lot of noise from the surrounding bars on the weekends. Bars close around 1am, so if you don't have to be in bed early it's not a big deal. ||The best part of my stay was getting to know Juan Carlos and Patricia. They are very friendly and contentious, making every effort to ensure guests needs are met. They even threw going-away dinner parties in the hotel for long-term guests. |Casa Nativos was a great part of my...
