Happy Harry's HideAway — Restaurant in Bay Islands

The place is very pretty and the views are outstanding, however, the service (at least when we visited) was chaotic, they definitely need to improve by adding more staff and getting more food to sell. We ordered a whole fish and some jumbo shrimp, after 30 minutes the waiter (who was quite nice) notified us that they were out of shrimp so we ordered a fish fillet, after another 30 minutes my fish arrived and it looked great, however, they sent it with fries although I asked for plantain chips (as you should eat with fish in the coast), the other waiter said that she would investigate what happened but came back after 15 minutes saying that they were out of plantain as well, also, when we arrived they were out of lemonade (all of this on a Monday around 12pm), but the table next to us who arrived 30 minutes later did receive lemonade (what?), finally the fish fillet was not arriving so I had to go down to the first floor and there it was... Getting cold while the waiters were chatting, as they saw me they immediately grabbed the dish and took it upstairs, when we finally ate (after 1:30h) the food of course was cold but the flavor was good. When we were finishing another waiter (maybe the main waiter or one of the captains) came to the table to ask us about the experience, we explained the whole thing and they offered us a discount, that along with the flavor of the food were the only two things that we liked, but we'll...

Had a terrible service experience here, do not eat here if you want to be discriminated against. We were brought here by our private tour guide , and was told that it was one of the best in the area. However once we walked in , we were told to sit anywhere, I chose a space upstairs. Once I sat down , another worker came to me about 6/7minutes after sitting, telling me I need to move due to him wanting to seat a group and that the table I was at, he decided , is going to be for a large group only.. However the table next to us was not in a group. When I asked him why did I have to move because clearly that was not the case for the same table next to me( mind you there are plenty of open tables around) he responded angrily saying he didn’t have time to argue about seats, and he snapped at me , cutting me off with more A” attitude asking “so should I take your order or not”. I immediately respond with that’s okay I’m good. He then shouts fine and storms off!…As I was leaving he accused me of saying it I thought he was being racist, when in fact I believe he was just being pretty rude, however it must of been racism since he brought it up. - that was the short version, let’s just say I won’t be back and I advise being careful about choosing this place ( I’ve had great seafood prior to here, so no loss for me). Extremely bad service , I’ve spent a total of 5 minutes letting the elders in our group wash their feet off and turn in gear to the boat tour guide while being yelled at , cussed at and told to leave because we weren’t consuming food . I explained to Faviana, whom I recorded cussing and yelling at us stating she was the owner and the women behind her saying “ we were nobody “ she is famous and everyone knows she’s the owner , that I would be buying lunch please allow us a few minutes … I recorded these women with alcohol and drinks , I’ve been here before and saw servers get into a big argument with another group who left saying the same but I hadn’t been a part of it so I didn’t believe it until I experienced it myself . That group was right . I will be posting videos on Facebook of these people consuming alcohol while working maybe Faviana The owner should reconsider drinking and mistreating potential customers . You lost a part of 8 due to your behavior . Completely unclassy . The people who rate it well I’m assuming are non native Spanish speakers ( whom receive different treatment , the racism here is very real ) because if they only heard what these women were saying I’m sure they would reconsider associating themselves with this...
