Ipanema Beach Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Bay Islands

Food is okay, you can go to better places for most of the food offered here. The ceviche’s when compared to some of the ceviche found here is a disappointment. Though this place does have some items that other restaurants don’t have like octopus. And worst the ceviche comes with unopened crackers.

So your next question maybe; I want to try creole food, well even if they offer breakfast here, there are other restaurant nearby that offer cheaper and more delicious variety in the west end. Definitely not worth the price nor taste here. And even after my meal, I’m not even full.

But the good news is if you like a sunset view during dinner this is one of the places in Roatán to check out.

We went for dinner with a party of 6 on a Sunday. There was one other party of about 10 in the entire restaurant. We waited two hours for our meal and when we asked, they kept saying 5 minutes more etc. When the entrees started coming out, we were brought the wrong main course and a raw potato. We immediately stopped them and asked to have the check for our drinks and the appetizers (which were mediocre at best). The owner came out and was extremely unprofessional. They should have communicated their timeline upfront instead of making us wait. By the time we were leaving there were no other places open since we were there for three hours. It was truly horrible. Huge thanks to Ortega for helping me pick pastries to bring for a catamaran trip for a friends birthday! And it turned out to be his birthday too to boot, haha!! I cleaned them out if pastries when they first opened and got a few of each- one better than the next. Criwd favs included the almond croissant and the raisin roll. In a past life I worked for Jean georges- a world famous French chef - I know my French pastries! My friends I shared with are mostly locals and some went back already the next day for more as they are now addicted, haha!
