While I found much left to be desired in terms of arriving/leaving the location as well as with some aspects of the service, I would not pass up a chance to visit this location again and again. The quality and taste of the food make up for any of the minor inconveniences.
5★ food 4★ ambient music 3★ star service 2★ parking
Parking: Why are there children allowed to hustle people as they enter and exit their vehicles within the confines of a gated premises? Be expected to be harassed for tips by children and seemingly random people who point out empty parking spaces to you. If they work for the restaurant, then the restaurant has some serious problems in employing underage children. If they don't work for the restaurant, then the restaurant should make a point of having their own parking lot attendant outside. The parking lot is unpaved and grotesque in comparison to the beautiful architecture and decor of the restaurant itself. I believe one could argue the state of the parking lot was a deliberate choice to give it a rustic ambience; however, I find it to be shallow and pedantic. It should be graded and paved.
Service: There wasn't enough wait staff on duty to handle the amount of people eating there. What's the point of a wait staff captain? The waiters were doing the best they could, but they were overloaded. I don't believe they needed a captain watching over them. I often found myself thirsty waiting for something to drink. I received better service at the Pizza Hut in San Pedro Sula. What was slightly more aggravating is that I was given a customer survey card in the middle of my dessert. And the categories to rate on the customer survey card were not categories that a customer should be bothered with. For example, one of the categories that I was asked to grade was the personal hygiene of the server. The personal hygiene of the wait staff is something that should be addressed by the manager in charge before the server is ever let on to the floor. If you have to find out through a customer service form that there's a problem with your server or wait staff, then I think you have bigger problems than trying to fine tune your overall customer experience through survey and comment cards. By the way, the personal hygiene of the server was a solid 5 stars. But I wish the comment card would have had a section about how long I had to wait to get a refill on my drink.
Food: The taste is excellent. Portions are generous. Do not skip dessert. You didn't come to Honduras to eat at chain restaurants. I am certainly coming back to this restaurant and more frequently on my next visit to Honduras.
Music: The ambient music was excellent. It was mostly lounge music and jazz and it was played through speakers with good range/response. The only thing that could have made it better would be if it were played live. I would be willing to pay substantially more to have live jazz at...
Read moreVery good place and great atmosphere. The server was really nice and welcoming and really funny. He was popping jokes through the entire meal entertaining us and enjoying the time there. We were able to easily communicate in English and Spanish without any problems. The food was outstanding and served hot. Taste was really good and for two times that I have visited the quality has been consistent with no variation. Wine selection was pretty good and quality of the wine was also good. I have to give it to them. They gave us a great show (overall) for sure will come back here again. A+...
Read moreThe chairs are solid wood & very uncomfortable to sit. Side options for your steak is limited, the watermelon juice wash fresh but not prepared properly. Customer service in Honduras is very poor everywhere I've been so far. The prices do not reflect the service or surroundings. I'm extremely shocked to see the rating of this place so high from others. I cannot imagine these ratings coming from people in Canada or the U.S. this place doesn't meet those standards. The steak wasn't spectacular but it was bad also so I'm gonna change my initial...
