#Bi Vietnamese food&bar — Restaurant in Budapest

I was nearby so I thought I would enjoy a good lunch. I knew the place before. Apparently the owner has changed since then. Was not as clean as it used to be, nevertheless I sat down. They then brought the menu. It was plain white sheets printed with a laser printer. The print was already coming off, the paper was curled, and half of the dishes were not available and covered with silver duct tape stripes. I think not taking the time to print a new menu in such a case is a clear sign that they dont care about quality anymore, so I left.

Unfortunatelly not a good experience. Tom yum was rather sweet than spicy (definitely didn’t look like as on a picture they have posted somewhere here). Spring rolls came spoiled even after got back to the kitchen, the dipping sauce had no taste. Mango salad was cut in pieces, not sliced. Chef’s speciality came out cold (rice with meat) - and to be honest, thịt kho tàu is usually fat, but how could u expect locals would be able to enjoy...

Had a takeaway, second time. Great taste, reasonable price, kind and caring service. When you order takeaway and tell the time when you’ll arrive to pick up, better to be punctual, as they take your promise seriously and prepare the food to be fresh and hot. If you are late, they’ll be concerned and their effort will be in vain and they will feel disrespected. I was late and felt ashamed. They are so kind, I’ll never do...
