Too expensive for what this place can offer to foreign tourists, specially to those who come from low GDP countries. I paid one extra euro per night of stay as 'city tax' so the staff took from me 12 euros instead of 11, I didn't want to complain for that because the Sziget Fest was been carried out in the city and there weren't real hostels available in that week. It doesn't worth such 12 euros, perhaps less than 10: no kitchen with seats, no plates, cups, pods... nothing for preparing meals by your self; staff suggested to buy made food instead. There's no air-conditioner, it is necessary to have the door open while you are dressing after a shower or you'll sweat even if doing nothing inside the room. For some reason the window has a lock to prevent open it totally. Toilets are simply disgusting, and staff doesn't clean rooms daily. Staff won't do anything to attend defficiences of the building neither for sake of students. My stay here was OK thanks to other guests only. If you come to Budapest during Sziget Festival, book in advance at a real hostel, avoid as possible any students dorm...
Read moreInstantaneous to our arrival, we were met with one of the most friendliest staff ever.||The day-time team were not only lovely, but were helpful and great conversationalists.||This not only made my friends and I feel welcome, but we felt almost at home despite the fact that we were in a different country.||The team's English is very good, minus some cleaners, but even then so their friendly nature was evident.||||After being shown our rooms, although the mattresses had some stains on, the sheets provided were immaculate. The pillows and mattresses were very comfortable, and although the temperature was steaming (due to the hot summer of 2019) we had a fridge in our room which we used to store drinks and even cool the room down when urgently needed.||The showers are cubicals in a communal room covered with curtains - and body wash is provided. I brought my own towel, but you can get one at the reception for a good price.||There is a kitchen with pots, pans, and cutlery as well as cooking apparatus should you wish to cook...
Read moreQuiet and no loud partying groups. It’s a school housing out in the residential area so no noisy touristy stuffs. Refrigerator in the room - very nice. A good 20-30 min. walkable river path leads to the center. No kitchen for use. Far from the central sights. Toilets and showers only on one floor. And only opens briefly in summer as the rest of the time it serves as a school dorm. I stayed there for awhile...
