Kávés Katica — Restaurant in Budapest

I a non Hungarian ex patriot and freqiently viait the place for 5 years.For foreigners and locals looking forward for enjoying a good coffee or drinks or even eat something paying a NORMAL price,as a B category cafe-pub, It is a very nice place and highly recommend it. For non smokers the interior is always kept pleasantly warm and clean. WC's are very clean without any unpleasant smells and equipped with all necessities. Outside the shop there are some tables and smokers can enjoy their drink with a cigarette freely. Unfortunately the cafe does have a tent or a warm external enclosure and this is thanks to the municipality as i was told. The service is very polite, friendly, discent, helpful some speak english german the other understand the basics. All payment are always done upon official receipts without service fees and additions printed or written by hand ( as done in many other places especially in main downtown area when they see a tourist). Surprisingly the place has a very good Wi-Fi with strong, uninterrupted signal that can work with corporational VPN...

Cosy place for beers after work, also has outside seating, first service can take a short while but all round it's good 🍻 2024 update: arrived here tired at nearly 2am with old friends and we saw they'd already packed the outside tables, asked if they were still open, they said they usually close at this time but STILL SERVED US ANYWAY, this place is served by real people for real people, we had our 1 drink and we're grateful that we were able to enjoy a celebration after...

Worst experience ever. For 600 HUF = 2 euro, you are getting 1cl foam at the bottom of the cup. (i was not the one who asked back, i had an accompany) Unfortunately I don't like that as Pest is even touristic the quality of the service is even worse. For 2 euro in Hungarian circumstances i expect 1 dl cafe at least, so i can refresh myself. I don't care the price really, but Starbucks very likely has better...
