I am truly dissatisfied and disappointed about the attention that the staff is giving. I reserved the Deluxe experience, expecting the bare minimum just the things included, but no, I even had to go and look for the people because they were not to be found. So we arrived with my husband (it was our honeymoon), and they gave us the bracelets. So far, perfect. They told us to go change, and someone was going to look for us and give us the champagne and the bathrobes. I was delighted. So my locker was damaged, it was not reacting at all. I tried with others, and it was giving me an error. But mine (number 09) was not even reacting. I went out and said to this lady my problem, she said maybe I was not using it right. (It is not complicated, btw). I said, "Can you come with me then? And she said, "Keep trying, or try to look for any other locker that is open and put your stuff. I will go in a moment. " So I returned to the lockers and tried again, nothing. I tried with other lockers (nothing, red light and sounds), I was checking all the other lockers to see if anything was open and nothing (which was horrible because the ladies there though I was trying to steal something, as I was trying to open there something). I waited... and waited... I went to the hall.. nothing. I didn't want to leave as then the lady could come from the other side. 15 min later while looking at the hall, taking turns from both sides and nothing. Eventually, I just went, and I crossed her, and I said, "What happened? And she said, did it work? And I was like... what????? I already told you it is not working, and you said you were coming. And then she followed me a little, not happy as she was in another task. She came, tried, nothing. She tried with her card, nothing. My locker was just death. She said she would bring another locker. So, 10 minutes more.... she gave me the key for another locker and said thanks for the patience. So far, I was not happy but okay. My poor husband was 25 minutes inside, worried and without being able to use the pools (we had the 20 min massage in the gravity chair, and for that, we needed to be dry). So... they told us that there was going to be someone inside waiting for us with the champagne, the badrobes, and for activating the chair, this person NEVER came, or she/he would have found my husband in a corner, me staring at the lockers, and Noone on the chairs. So, in front of the chairs, as I said, no one. We waited... 5min.. 10 min... nothing. I manage to talk to a maintenance guy for him to call someone... 10 min more. Nothing. So... more than 45 Mins we were there, dry, just waiting, while the other couples wwerejust watching us standing there. I went all the way out to the hall to find someone , nd I encountered apparently the manager (a bald guy)... and i said that I am losing my patience as I ordered the deluxe moment, and so far, I don't have even the basic stuff included. He came with me angry and activated the machine and asked in an annoyed way what we want to drink, dry or sweet. We said sweet. So the moment the machine started (the lady that knew about my problems with the lockers) came with the champagne, instead of bringing it at the end of this. So, 20 min after we drank a warm Prosecco, lost around 1 hour of our time and were pretty NOT RELAXED. And she didn't bring any bathrobes. Nothing. The pools and the ambient is 5 stars, is well maintained and really relaxing. But why I should pay more than bare minimum for this kind of treatment?? I had to go almost all the way out for reminding about my Prosecco? Really? The main problem for me is that there were not that many people, around max 6!! and especially no one with a bathrobe. So I think you can do a little of follow up about the people who paid more and wanted a deluxe experience. So I recommend another place, maybe cheaper and maybe you will still have better service, or this place but the cheapest option possible. Because even if you pay more, you will have to find the stuff yourself as we did. Thank good they had a good...
Read moreWhat i liked: the concept of a spa to switch off even during the day sense of cleanliness
What i liked less: the execution of the concept rather targets a wow effect than builds on a commitment to quality and ergonomics (just as an example of both: touch sensor doors but steps made of transparent plastic, so you might not notice and fall, nicely constructed cabines with super sensitive alarms that just go off and actually no one is bothered to take note, so you are listening to an alarm while trying tk relax in the sauna, etc.)
What i completely disliked: the service. While the front-desk ladies did nothing particularly wrong, they were also not there where you usually expect customer care at a place that prices itself deep into the exclusive segment. They got then completely out of their depths once things turned a bit challenging massage: it was the worst experience i have ever had. There is no reason to dress it up; having had dozens of different massages in my life, this was the first time i asked the masseuse to stop and i walked out.
So what went wrong: although she asked what the strength should be, she gave no consideration whatsoever to the response, and neither to my repeated instructions to use less of the force. Unfortunately force was also rather brutal as well, giving me zero confidence in her knowledge of human anatomy, which is bad if you use your elbows to flex some muscles in a âday-spaâ. At some point my hands were completely tense from the pain, and then she kept on shaking them off, rather than adjusting her âtechniqueâ. To add insult to injury, when i asked her to conclude the session with a few last moves, she told me from the âmoral higher groundsâ that they were not offering any such things as âfinal movesâ. The absurdity of this was that my wife was being massaged right next to me, listening to this conversation. So i assured the lady that what i meant as final moves was what any individual who ever had a massage understands as such and within 10 seconds i was out of the room. While getting up after a service imagined as a massaged and felt like a proper beating, she kindly offered to continue for another 10 minutes while i lay on my back. At that point i wasnât sure if we were not filmed from a corner of the room. I left the room and asked the lady at front desk to give me some comfort regarding the qualifications of their colleagues. Unfortunately she could not, which i found perplexing and scary. I expected that such a high-end place really hand-picks the top-of-the-range employees and they take pride in the service offered to their customers. While it is far from great but letâs be honest, not unheard of either if it is not the case, i would have hoped that people then at least donât go beyond their competence, and this is where brute force is just completely unnecessary. Especially in a relaxing day-spa.
Later, while i was waiting for my wife, another lady came to me and inquired about my complaint, which just made things worse, as she managed to do this in the middle of the ârelax areaâ where my wife and some other guests started arriving and had to listen to my story that was unfortunately not uplifting for anyoneâs mood. The remedy offered by this employee was another 30 min with another masseuse, which i had absolutely no interest in anymore. She was all good intentions but just out of experience and skills/empowerment to handle such a situation.
It was just an extremely painful and awkward experience for me, and i felt terrible about my wife who planned to spend a nice time together, and who otherwise could have enjoyed her session. I realize that it could just be a bad day for the lady giving me the massage or just an isolated case, as many other people including my wife seem to be happy with their massages. Unfortunately neither of these makes my experience with...
Read moreI bought a balinese massage experience for my Bestfriend's Birthday and me, which ended up in a nightmare. Plus points are: nice place, great decoration and ambience at the spa, receptionists and also the masseurs are kind. For the massage you have to lay down on NYLON PLASTIC. If you would like to have a balinese massage, don't come here, cause they have no idea what is that, it is not even close what they are doing to you. There are principal problems concerning the massage, they are not touching crucial areas for acupressure, like your sole, your face, your hand, no acupressure AT ALL on your body. They use too much oil (you cant even do acupressure with that much oil, its impossible cause your hand is sliding-another principal mistake), you definitely have to a shower afterwards, which is not essential after a normal balinese massage. I especially chose this place cause they state on their website that they have this service, but unfortunately this is a lie, and it is misleading costumers. I asked the Spa on several levels (masseur, receptionist, CEO) why is this principal massage error, whilst claiming back my money, and they said that this mutant balinese massage is what the masseurs are being thought (so it was really not the kind masseurs' fault they massaged us like that) and i shouldn't be so high expecting for an authentic balinese massage (!!!, this answer is just crazy how it is), because we are in Budapest- not Indonesia, thats right (I guess you can only see latin dance in Latin America by this logic). Although they did offer me some other services as a compensation, but I don't think this is fair, I never want to go back there, I feel robbed and cheated, their website is false, they are false about this service, I want my money back (72.000 Ft). This is cheating. Oh, and another ridiculous answer of theirs' was that I cant get back my money cause I received the full massage, same as in a restaurant, you might have been served the wrong dish, but if you ate it you have to pay (they came up with this analogy, thank you for the education). Sorry but this is also not fair, I did stop the massoer and asked what is he doing, than he said confidently that this is what they learned, then I just hoped that it will turn at least a bit balinese later. With a dish you see what you get. I woke up the next day with...
