Anytime Bar & Entertainment — Restaurant in Budapest

This is a review about my experience with reservation with this place. I've been here many times with friends so I thought I would do a team event with my colleagues here too since they even have my workplace's logo on their website. I made an inquiry through their form and also by email. I received a response a day later, okay fine, I responded, again another day later they respond. The person I was in correspondence with had the restaurant's address and phone number as their email signature. So when two days passed and I still didn't hear back about a confirmation, I checked their opening hours and decided to call the number. I call this person whose initials are H.B at 6.26 PM. I say "Hi it's Teresa just wanted to confirm the booking" (very politely), this person says VERY RUDELY in a scolding voice "do you think that I am in the office on a Friday night????" and I instantly felt so embarrassed and shocked so I said "I'm sorry I saw the opening hours on google and called accordingly" He says very rudely "Yeah that's the place's opening hours NOT the office so call me on office hours OK? Bye." and cut the call. But my question is if you are so strict about your office hours why not mention them in the emails BELOW THE PHONE NUMBER ITSELF????? and if you are SO STRICT about it maybe don't pick up calls from strangers after work hours???? maybe have separate work and personal numbers?? what gives you guys the right to yell at strangers when you share the number yourself without any additional information?? disgusting and disappointing. They never responded to my email either haha. Of course my review or absence won't make a difference to this business but at least I've already warned my colleagues and would like the rest of the public to...

I was here for pool (billiards) in February 2024. We booked a pool table in advance but when it was our turn to play the group before us hadn’t finished. We were told to wait until they finished their game. However the second our designated time was finished we were told to leave. I explained that we weren’t given use of the table until 15 minutes after our designated start time and asked if we could finish our game (we were very near the end). We were told no and the man started taking the balls off of our table. I was very disappointed as we had paid for the full hour and were only given 45 minutes. Outside of this we found our experience of the bartenders very mixed. Some of them were lovely and very friendly, while others were quite rude. At one point I asked for chalk for the table and was told to go ask their co-worker. When I asked who I was given a dirty look and told “go ask any other person”. The idea of this place is very good but there are many pool places in Budapest and I would recommend other places...

Be careful, they can ruin your time with friends! At first, everything seemed fine. But they opened for us 10 minutes late, and we had to go upstairs—two floors up—to pick up our drinks from the bar. When we got to our lane (there were five of us), it turned out to be this tiny room with just two lanes—one for us and one for another group—and literally one chair. I have no idea how they expected five adults and two kids to hang out there, let alone enjoy drinks. One chair, seriously? I asked if we could change the lane or get a table, but they refused and only offered a refund for the lane booking. That pissed me off—we waited, ordered drinks, found the lane ourselves (nobody even showed us the way), and then realized there’s nowhere to sit. What kind of service is that? Only after arguing for 15 minutes and saying I’d call the cops, they refunded everything. Still, I can’t rate this place higher than 1 star.
