Bagdad Gyros — Restaurant in Budapest

Compared to the recently opened fancy new Turkish buffet further down on Fehérvári street, this kebap (döner/gyros) is much better value. Beside the usual sandwich this guy sells two sizes of "plates" - small, for 850 HUF, and large, for 1100 huf. The small portion, however, is the same size (put in the same size box) as the new Turkish buffets gyros plate which is sold there for 1200 HUF. 850 HUF vs 1200 HUF for the same size is significantly better value for money. Also, it tastes better, and the gentleman puts quite a lot of meat in it. Service, delivery and payment was straight forward. Ate inside. Was quiet.

They have a small range of items and baklava.

Had the giro plate.... Shawarma and Chips with sauces and pitta bread.

The portion was pretty big. Chips were good enough. Shawarma wasnt the best but was ok... fair few small hard kinda burnt bits and fatty bits... but not major issue....

Overall taste was ok. Plenty of salad. Definitely a filling lunch.
