Don Corleone Restaurant and Pizzeria — Restaurant in Budapest

This is an UPDATE* We were there yesterday and the rude waiter was a bit better, he even tried to tell that was not his fault, but the coock. I told him that not the food was a problem, but hes attitude, and let's forget about.l this s issue. Today we vent there again, and the waiter was (still not perfect) but very, very much better, he improved a lot. Bravo! And the food was really very good as well. I asked the waiter and he told the coock name is Tamás! Bravo Tamás, you made a great meal! Also the atmosphere was different because was a nice fresh air, not a kind of toilet smell like sometimes. ... Below see my previous rewew. We use to go there very often, and in 95% of the cases we are really very satisfied. Generally we LOVE this place, but at October. 2024. evening, the waiter was just disgusting and the service was under any critics. MINUS 5* would be probably the nearer appreciation. Waiter brought the food but we had to wait for cutlery. Also I got the wrong order, (in the state of a meat plate, I got a vegetarian one) and waiter didn't even bother to apologize or say sorry. Because I was hungry and under time pressure, I accepted it, but what I got, was a bit cheaper on the menu. When I checked the bill, price was not changed. As I made the observation to the waiter, he was very rude telling, I may feel shame because there is only a few hundred HUF the difference. The difference was indeed not big, and I accepted it, but the way he treated us was really disturbing. He was rude, arrogant and impolite, When he served the food, just smashed it on the table without saying a single word. HE didn't even say as a hi, welcome, here you are, bon appetit, thank you, sorry or good night at all. We felt humiliated! Hey owners, watch whom you are employing, because it is pitty to run down...

Well, there is supposed to be an online order on their website. Please either improve or just remove that system. We ordered, got an email saying it will be delivered between 60 to 90 minutes and end up waiting for 2 hours. We then had to ask our Hungarian host to call the restaurant, it turns out they didn't even get any online order! Why even have the online ordering system? In the end, no pizzas. Dissapointed! Shut the online ordering to make life easier for people who don't know it doesn't work. The pizzas may be good but your online order system sucks big time! 2 hours of wait for nothing! Our host spoke to them and they said they can send the pizzas in 30 minutes! If we knew the online order doesn't work, we could have just ask our host, who isn't staying with us, to order by phone....

Revolting meal, went out for pizza and drinks here with friends. Very few vegetarian options so opted for the seafood pasta. I know hungary is landlocked but this was ABSOLUTE disregard for food quality and presentation. Dish arrived, penne overdone and soggy. with GREY bits of salmon all minced up (not bothered to remove the skin) and tiny mini shrimp with their intestinal tract still intact. Fishy and gross. Its not that hard to remove the tract on your cm sized shrimp it guys... on top of everything served freezing cold red wine and charged extra for 2 teaspoons of parmesean cheese i asked for. Will never be back, avoid...
