The place was a bit confusing for me, and English only speaker. When you step inside there is a foyer with a shop on either side of the room, one looks like a Chinese kitchen service counter and the other a boba tea service counter and a menu on a billboard in the middle. You can see beyond the billboard, that there are seats ahead and up a few stairs. Not realizing that there was any other option I put in my order with the Chinese counter for a spicy chicken dish and some lamb dumplings. No drinks served at this counter. Once up the stairs there was another shop counter, this one selling various drinks only, so I purchased a drink and took a seat. Around me were several other shop counters each serving various other oriental food styles including a sushi shop, a few Thai shops, a Korean BBQ shop, an Asian dessert shop, and a few others in the back that I didn't go check out. As I waited for my order, already regretting that I made my choitoo soon without knowing there was so much more to choose from, I realized that my eyes were burning from the lack of ventilation in the room, combined with the number of wok burners going, all completely filling the crowded room with acid burning smoke. My food came out and the chicken was dry but pretty tasty. The dish didn't come with rice or noodles and I'm not sure if that is an add-on that has to be requested specifically or what, but it was quite an odd dish to serve without some kind of starch. I ended up not being able to finish it because A: It was spicy as all get out, and B: It was dry as all get out, and C: There was no starch to go with it and I already felt cheated that I ordered without weighing the other available options so I didn't want to go back and order more food from the same shop and wait for my food to get cold before I could eat it. The lamb dumplings were quite delicious! The amount of dumplings was like a dozen and they gave me about a half ounce of dipping sauce to go with it which was pretty comical if you ask me. Still they were great in spite of the lack of sauce. I would return here but next time I will check some of the other shops and get a variety of dishes. This place would be great to take a group of friends, and everyone split up and order from all the different places, then sit together and share all the meals...
Read moreIt's a relatively new place, but still well above average in Budapest. We tried it twice, once take out and once dining in, we were very satisfied both times. They serve great food quickly, in satisfactory portions. It's not priced like a cheap Chinese fastfood joint, but we found it to be still cheap for the quality and sizes offered. There are some minor things that need improvement in my opinion. Decor overall is lacking as it is, but what is there is a good indication of what the owners aim for. Crowding in the future might be a concern, only because there really isn't a whole lot of space, especially when you're browsing the menus of several different kitchens, and it's sure that a lot of people will line up to be here in the future! It really has the potential to look and feel like a lively Asian street and not like a fast food court at a mall. I'm not saying it looks like that now, don't get me wrong it looks great as it is. I just think the place hasn't reached its full potential yet and I can't wait until it does! We will absolutely come back again and bring friends, coworkers and relatives too!
Overall, an easy 5-star experience for us, definitely...
Read moreWhen you enter the building you feel like you just traveled to East, the amazing design really transfers you to Asia. The whole time we were there I kept spotting new details around me, if you are a fan of the asian culture you will love it. You can find dishes from all around Asia. As you step in on the right they have the bubble tea shop, I recommend getting your drink first so you can enjoy it walking around while deciding what dish you'll have. We had the golden crispy shrimp right after that, it was very fresh and nice and crispy. After that we tried the chinese pancake and the chinese meat pie, they were both delicious. They even had the japanese takoyaki, if you like really flavorful dishes I recommend trying this, it was my favorite out of everything. If you like asian cuisine (chinese, korean, vietnamese, japanese) you won't find a more authentic place that holds this much variety than this in the city center. We are definitely gonna be...
